Optics, not diplomacy determines relations between Trump and the Gulf rulers. Glitzy steel and glass towers, the higher the more “prestigious”, are what gives them pleasure. Forget about investment in domestic human capital, learning or scientific culture.
Donald Trump’s transactional approach to diplomacy marks a clear departure from previous US foreign policy approaches. There was not even lip-serivce to democratic values and human rights that characterized previous US encounters with dictatorial regimes. It was all about money.
That the American deep state is unhappy with Trump is not in doubt. His crude methods are exposing their dirty works that used to be done with a smile. Trump is bulldozing his way and there is speculation that the establishment might bump him off.
Donald Trump is acting like a bull in a china shop (no pun intended). His tariffs war, especially against China has caused more damage to the US economy than to the targeted countries. He has been forced to retreat but given his unpredictability, he is likely to cause more harm to the US.
The world’s political architecture is changing rapidly. It would, however, be wrong to assume that Donald Trump is causing it. He is simply prusuing a policy that was initiated many decades ago. America’s obsession with containing China is what is driving this policy.
Donald Trump is the archetypical example of the ugly American. While his outrageous call to “Finish the Genocide” in Gaza will not be fulfilled, it reflects his demonic mindset. He has to appease his Jewish billionaire donors.
While Trump’s call for turning Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” has been shot by Arabian rulers, it was the zionist war criminals in Tel Aviv using their connection to Jared Kushner who planted this idea into his mind.
Donald Trump’s erratic behaviour and his over-reliance on billionaire Jewish benefactors may lead him into a regional war that may explode into a global war. The ignorant man may not even realize it.
