Harper's cynical fear-mongering and Islamophobic rantings to push through the oppressive Bill C-51 have not gone unchallenged. On March 14, tens of thousands of Canadians rallied in 70 cities across Canada to oppose the bill. It is a serious assault on Canadian civil liberties and will criminalize dissent. Here is Ken Stone's presentation at the Hamilton & District Labour Council held in the Council chambers of Hamilton City Hall.
You can run but you can't hide seems to be the message being delivered by one ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh to another, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi. The Saudis forced Saleh to resign in February 2012; the Houthis drove Hadi from power last month and put him under house arrest in Sana'a. Hadi fled to Aden making it his temporary capital but trouble seems to have followed him there as today's attack on Aden Airport showed.
As the Harper government pushes ahead with imposing the draconian Bill C-51 on Canadians that would grant even more powers to the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) without any proper oversight, Investigative reporter Andrew Mitrovica draws attention to the past misdeeds of the spy agency whose record is less than sterling.
By appealing to the deep-seated racism of the Zionists, Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party once again came out ahead with 30 seats in Israeli elections. He will now have to cobble together a coalition in the snake pit of Israeli politics. Netanyahu has vowed no Palestinian state, more illegal settlements and an even more belligerent policy. The choices for the Palestinians are now very clear.
An Egyptian court has handed down another batch of mass death sentences. The victims include leader of the Ikhwan al Muslimoon Mohamed Badie and 13 others. An additional 31 persons in prison will be sentenced on April 11. Egyptian courts have earned the dubious distinction of delivering farcical verdicts that have nothing to do with the law and everything to do with pleasing their masters in uniform.
The US has been forced to shut down its fortress-like consulates in several "Saudi" cities because of security threats. While the Saudi embassy in Riyadh did not specify the threat, it closed its consular services and warned Americans in the kingdom to "take extra precautions." In recent weeks, several westerners have been attacked or killed.
Has the US finally realized the futility of its policy in Syria? US Secretary of State John Kerry's latest statement seems to give the clearest indication that US policy of trying to topple the government of President Bashar al Asad has failed. Instead, takfiri monsters have emerged that go around beheading people, eating their organs and burning people alive. Even America's warlords seem to have had enough. Kerry wants to talk to Asad. Good!
Canadians from all walks of life denounced today Stephen Harper's fear mongering and Islamophobic bill that is being rushed through parliament. Rallies were held in Toronto and 70 other cities attended by tens of thousands of people. It was the strongest expression yet of the rejection of the politics of hate and fear mongering by the right wing Conservative party.
Egypt under the pharaoh General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is a basket case but regional potentates are going to pump another $12 billion into its economy to shore it up. They are wasting their money. The thugs in uniform are professional thieves. Besides, Egypt has been pushed, unfortunately beyond recovery. The tyrants are clinging to each other in hopes of saving their own skins.
Is the Zionist State's nastiest politician about to be consigned to the dustbin of history? Opinion polls show that Netanyahu's ruling Likud-led coalition is trailing behind the Zionist Union alliance for the March 17 elections. Would the victory of the Labour-led coalition make any difference as far as the long-oppressed Palestinians are concerned?
Not only the US military but even the media including European have resorted to using drones. If the military drones incinerate people with hellfire missiles, the media drones will capture you in all your 'natural' glory. Nobody will be able to hide anymore; not even in their bedroom or bathroom. Get used to it: Big Brother is really watching you!
American senators are in the pocket of the Zionist lobby but they have just proved they are also dumb. In an attempt to "teach" the Iranian leadership how the US Constitution works, they made the preposterous claim that the senate "ratifies" treaties. It does not; only the president of the United State has the authority to ratify a treaty by signing it. Who elected these "geniuses" to the Senate?
It is open season on Muslims in the US. In the wake of the triple murder in White Chapel (NC) last month, a recent immigrant from Iraq was shot and killed in Dallas, TX as he watched his first snowflakes in life while his wife took photographs. Islamophobia is running rampant and no Muslim seems to be safe in America anymore.
The American spy agency, CIA, is going rogue, officially. It no longer feels the need to indulge in illegal acts covertly; the gloves are off and the whole world will now be under total surveillance. How long before everyone is under US lock down because some warmonger in Washington feels an individual, group or country poses a “threat” to US interests?
There are strong indications that Hamas-Iran relations have gone back to their old warmth. These had been marred by Hamas' negative attitude over the crisis in Syria. Now that it has become apparent that the conspiracy to overthrow Bashar al Asad's government has failed, Hamas has sobered up. This is a positive development.
The Saudi regime and its court system are run by primitive savages. This was proved yet again when a gang-rape victim was sentenced to 200 lashes and six-month jail term for speaking to the media against the court verdict. The rapists--seven men--got away lightly.
Turkey's involvement in supporting the takfiri terrorists in Syria has been talked about but only now has it been officially acknowledge. A statement from the Office of the Governor of Denizli province confirmed that a terrorist commander injured in Syria had been admitted to hospital in Denizli and was receiving treatment there.
Islamic Iran's negotiators have made clear that if the P5+1 group of countries led by the US are really serious about a deal over Tehran's nuclear program, then all sanctions must be lifted. The latest round of talks have been underway in the Swiss city of Montreux. Iran's Foreign Minister Dr Javad Zarif and his US counterpart met yesterday and talks are continuing at expert level today. March 31 has been set as a deadline for a deal.
Benjamin Netanyahu is supremely arrogant. He displayed his arrogance--and hypocrisy--once again when he came to address the US Congress without even consulting the White House. Barack Obama was visibly upset at such an insult. Netanyahu thinks he can insult the American president and get away with it. He came to rant about Iran's non-existent nuclear bomb program. What hypocrisy when the Zionist regime has 400 nuclear bombs!
The US is a virtual police state where everything an individual does is monitored. America's notorious spy agencies now want to extend this power to hack into any computer in the world. The proposal has come from an Advisory Committee of the US Justice Department. What kind of justice is being proposed and what happened to the independence and sovereignty of other countries and the privacy of individuals?
