Americans are so used to being lied to that when they are told the truth, they refuse to believe it. For more than three decades, the US establishment has been harping about Iran’s non-existent nuclear bomb. Now that the people are told that there is no such thing, most Americans find it hard to believe it. Perhaps, they can be forgiven. The dumbing down of America is so thorough that 38% of college students believe France shares a border with America. An equal number believes Uganda is a plant or an animal.
Until recently, Bushism referred only to George W. Bush’s infamous malaproprisms, such as “they misunderestimated me,” “make the pie higher.” As Americans gear up for the 2016 presidential elections, it is coming to mean something completely dif-ferent. Two dynasties are competing for the presidency. Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush will most likely face off, the former the spouse of the popular Bill Clinton (1992–2000), the latter, the younger brother of the now reviled George Bush junior (2001–2008), herein Bush II — both sons of George H.W. Bush senior (vice presi-dent 1980–1987, president 1988–1991).
It is premature to pass a final judgment on the agreement that was signed on July 14 in Europe (not in any Muslim country) between a nuclear club of nations on one side and a non-nuclear Islamic Iran on the other.
I was shocked to read details about the effect of depleted uranium (DU) on people, especially children, in Iraq (Crescent International, July 2015). The increase in cancer rates in Iraq from 40 per 100,000 in 1991 to at least 1,600 per 100,000 in 2005 is truly alarming. “This is an increase of 4,000% over a 25-year period,” as your report points out. Not surprisingly, there is seldom any mention of these facts in the Western corporate media.
In another act of illegality, Turkey and US have announced that they are creating a no-fly zone over Syria that would be 90 km long and will include territory 50 km inside Syria. The two predatory powers have vowed to attack any Syrian planes that enter this territory. Think of air piracy and gangsterism!
Another horror has been perpetrated in the US, this time by a 21-year-old white racist supremacist in Charleston, South Carolina. Dylann Roof shot and killed nine members of a black church while they were studying the bible in the evening on June 17. The police have described the killings a hate crime and the state governor has called for the death penalty for the accused.
Hoping for a security agreement, the GCC dictators returned empty-handed from Washington except for promises of more killing toys that they can use against fellow Muslims but not Zionist Israel.
Can the US military-industrial-banking complex’s appetite for total control of citizenry be limited now that the Patriot Act is up for review? It would be wrong to hold much hope.
The Arabian rulers led by the Najdi Bedouins, are like frightened mice. They want the US to provide them assurances that their illegitimate hold on power would be guaranteed. The US is unwilling yet it lashes out at Islamic Iran accusing it of supporting terrorism. The US and Najdi Bedouins are the real instigators and financiers of terrorism. Al Qaeda, the Takfiris and a host of other terrorist outfits are the poisoned fruit of Wahhabism.
Developments in the region are not helping the illegitimate rulers in the Muslim East (aka the Middle East). They were expected to meet US President Barack Obama in Washington on May 13 and 14 at which more multi-billion dollar arms contracts were to be signed but the US refused to provide them a security umbrella they were seeking. Four of them have opted out of the meeting!
The armies of Arabian dictators have joined the US and its allies in war games in Jordan. Forces from nine Arabian countries are involved. Their purpose is clear: to find a pretext to launch a direct attack on Syria using ground troops to overthrow the government of President Bashar al Asad who has held out against the grand foreign conspiracy against all odds.
Mohammad Buhari won the Nigerian presidential election fair and square. The US tried to interject itself into the fray not because it loves democracy but because it has an altogether different agenda. Beware the American benevolence!
Despite vile propaganda against Islamic Iran relating to its peaceful nuclear program, the IAEA has been forced to retract its own allegations confirming that Tehran has not violated the terms of its international obligations.
Caution is the advice of reader Syed Amir Ali to the Islamic Republic in its dealings with the US.
Zionist society is deeply racist. Ethiopian Jews, like the Palestinians face the brunt of this racism. Ethiopian Jews are expected to sacrifice their lives for the racist entity but they are not treated as equal citizens. Instead, they routinely face police brutality, just like that other great democracy, the US where police brutality has been rampant targeting and killing unarmed African-Americans.
Amid all the doom and gloom, Iraq and Syria have taken steps to mend fences. This comes at about the same time as Barack Obama’s admission that the takfiris arose because of George Bush’s foolish decision to invade Iraq in 2003.
If a Muslim is involved in any violent activity, it is called terrorism. If there is a non-Muslim, it is not terrorism! This has become the standard fare with law enforcement agencies, government officials and the media in most Western countries. Nor surprising then, that an average person believes the allegation that all Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims! Read on...
The US is involved in a slick game to hoodwink war weary Americans about its true intentions in Afghanistan. Despite repeatedly announcing that US combat mission in Afghanistan ended in December 2014, it is still continuing. The US has kept 10,000 or more troops and these are likely to remain in the country beyond 2016.
The US is addicted to war regardless of who is in the White House--a Democrat or Republican. There is also increasing opposition to such wars as yesterday's protest rallies in LA and Washington DC showed. Organizations such as ANSWER and CodePink have stood up to the warmongers and mobilized public opinion. More Americans need to join such rallies to end the violence and aggression.
The US has been forced to shut down its fortress-like consulates in several "Saudi" cities because of security threats. While the Saudi embassy in Riyadh did not specify the threat, it closed its consular services and warned Americans in the kingdom to "take extra precautions." In recent weeks, several westerners have been attacked or killed.
