Kites and Missiles Over Gaza

Editor

The Zionist colonizers of Palestine see Palestinian children flying kites in Gaza as a threat. Not only do they shoot at the kites but also kill the children flying them.

This flared up into a shooting match on July 19 when Palestinians shot and killed an Israeli soldier in retaliation for continued Zionist crimes. The Zionists unleashed missiles from drones and a barrage of artillery fire at civilians. When the shooting subsided, four Palestinians were left dead and scores injured.

The Zionists also stopped fuel to Gaza, dubbed an “open air” prison. This is collective punishment. Palestinians do not have access to electricity; 90% of Gaza’s water is polluted and there is desperate shortage of food and medicines.

These constitute crimes against humanity in which most Western and Arabian regimes are also complicit. Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt urged the resistance movement Hamas to avoid escalation. While a relative calm returned to Gaza on July 20, the Zionist Defence (Offense) Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, an illegal squatter from Europe, threatened “if the group continues to fire shells into Israel, then the outcome will be far worse than what they think.”

He has the gall to threaten the indigenous population with dire consequences when the Zionists have already murdered 150 Palestinians including 17 children since March 30. Nearly 17,000 have been injured, some crippled permanently.

The Zionists perpetrated more crimes by barging into al-Masjid al-Aqsa on July 22. Not a whimper, much less protest, was heard from the Arabian regimes.
