Central Asia

Prof. Majid Ali Khan

Much Islamic history is tied up with Central Asia. This area needs to be covered more, suggests a reader who is a retired professor.

I am glad you are paying attention to the vital region of Central Asia where the long-oppressed Muslims are gradually beginning to find their voice. Not too long ago, this region was part of the great Muslim domain. Even today names like Samarqand, Tashkent and Bukhara conjure up images of our recent past glory. There is much history in these lands. In fact, Muslims of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh owe their existence to the great peoples of Central Asia. We should learn more about Central Asia.
