Jumada' al-Akhirah 08, 14372016-03-17

The Kurds are spread over different countries, the victims of colonial carve-up of the Muslim East (aka the Middle East) but they tend to make decisions that are not in their own best interest. Their latest move, a declaration of autonomy in northeast Syria is one such example. This is likely to complicate the possibility of achieving a political solution to the 5-year-old war on Syria.

Crescent International

Jumada' al-Ula' 29, 14372016-03-09

Have the Bani Saud been sufficiently chastened and beaten to sue for peace in Yemen? Recent reports suggest they have held secret talks with the Houthis and will be holding further discussions. Their one-year-long war has caused a lot of civilian casualties leading to war crimes charges. Perhaps they want to cut their losses and end the war that is going nowhere. The next few days and weeks will tell.

Crescent International

Jumada' al-Ula' 27, 14372016-03-07

Statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyu that Arabian rulers are keen to cultivate relations with the Zionist regime point to the fact that something big is about to happen. Netanyahu is one of most obnoxious rulers the Zionist State has ever had. The Arabian rulers led by the Bani Saud are about to embrace this man and his racist ideology. They deserve each other as it exposes the true nature of Bani Saud.

American presidential primaries: a circus full of clowns

Crescent International

Jumada' al-Ula' 22, 14372016-03-02

American presidential primaries are meant to entertain people and make them believe that they have a say in whom they choose to be their next president. With money being the primary decider of such races, it is not surprising the statement 'America has the best democracy money can buy' has stuck. This year's primaries are laced with angry rhetoric and racism. It is all very scary.

Their demise is being predicted not only by Muslims but also by many non-Muslims as the article below from Carnegie Endowment for International Peace shows.

Crescent International

Jumada' al-Ula' 10, 14372016-02-19

The Saudis and their Arabian allies were never a match for the lightly armed Ansarallah fighters in Yemen. They had to rely on Blackwater mercenaries to do the fighting for them but the Ansarallah fighters have put these mercenaries also to flight as the latest news from Yemen indicates. Rabi' al-Thani 24, 14372016-02-03

As the Syrian army makes steady progress on the ground in Aleppo and elsewhere in the country, Syrian opposition groups and their foreign sponsors conspire to sabotage the peace talks, albeit indirect, in Geneva. Talks were suspended today when opposition groups refused to meet the UN Special envoy, Staffan de Mistura. It was pointless to continue with the charade if no one was talking to each other.

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 21, 14372016-01-31

The dictatorial regime of Ilham Aliyev, a throwback to the Soviet era, clings to primitive methods to block accurate news, especially relating to imprisonment of Islamic movement activists, from reaching the people. Islamazari, one of the most popular websites in Azerbaijan is the frequent victim of such attacks, the latest being just two days ago. Such tactics will backfire on the regime.

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 21, 14372016-01-31

What kind of people calling themselves Muslims would target the shrine of Seyyeda Zainab (ra), the sister of Imam Husain (ra)? These cannot be committed Muslims since such attacks result in the killing of innocent Muslims--as has just happened in Damascus at the hands of the takfiri terrorists--and expose the extreme hatred they have for the revered personalities of Islam. These so-called Muslims are the enemies of Allah.
