Are the Bani Saud about to ditch Hadi?

Crescent International

Abu Dhabi, Monday 15 May 2017

As the Najdi Bedouins assemble their Arabian cousins and an assortment of Muslim rulers and dictators in Riyadh for a collective pledge of loyalty to the new master in the White House (aka Donald Trump), other news in the region appear to have fallen off the radar screen.

Trump will land in Riyadh on May 19 and after meeting the Arabian dinosaurs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), he will attend a grand dinner with other Muslim potentates to receive their formal pledge of loyalty. In addition to much handshaking and grandstanding, Trump will utter his usual threats—he is the most ignorant person ever to become president of the United States—directed against Islamic Iran and any other country that does not show sufficient deference to the American dictator.

For the Bani Saud, however, another development on their southern borders is probably of much greater significance. Last month, the fugitive former president of Yemen, Abd Rabbou Mansour Hadi dismissed the governor of Aden, Major General Aidarous al-Zubaidi. The latter immediately announced formation of the Southern Transitional Council and organized a huge rally in Aden on May 12 against Hadi, denouncing him as a traitor.

Aden is supposed to be the capital of the fugitive former president’s rump regime but he resides in Saudi Arabia commuting between palaces and hotels in Riyadh and Jeddah. The Najdi Bedouins have finally caught on to Hadi’s game and according to reports from Riyadh they are about to ditch him.

The reason is that both Hadi and the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood (different from those in Egypt and Syria) were milking the Bani Saud without being able to offer anything in return. Their forces have been fighting with other groups loyal to the Emiratis but unable to confront the highly motivated Ansarallah fighters that the capital city Sana‘a as well as the important port of al-Hudaydah.

Fighting between these forces for Al-Mukha, another port at the mouth of Bab al-Mandab, has also caused frustration in Riyadh since their objective of bringing the country under their control is getting nowhere. When reminded of this, the Saudi Defence Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman said earlier this month that if the Saudis wanted, they could obliterate the Houthis in a few days!

The Saudis have been trying to do that and despite seeking the help of outside forces—in addition to a coalition of 10 mostly Arabian armies, they have also sought mercenaries from African countries—they have demonstrably failed. They have even sought the direct help of Israel—yes, Zionist Israel that occupies Palestine and brutalizes the Palestinian people—but have not made much progress.

The appeal to the Zionists was made by Adel al-Jubeir, the baby-faced foreign minister of Saudi Arabia in September 2015 saying the “Israelis are our cousins” (it has now emerged that al-Jubeir is gay and has been frequently seen in gay clubs in Thailand. His wife Farah al-Fayez has filed for divorce in a London court).

One wonders what the Bani Saud rulers have to say about al-Jubeir’s sexual orientations in their “puritan” kingdom where women are not allowed to drive cars for fear of corrupting men! But what if the men are already corrupt and sexual deviants a la al-Jubeir? Clearly, there are different rules for those aligned with the regime and the poor domestic workers that are summarily executed for minor infractions.

But let us return to Yemen. Far from subduing the Ansarallah fighters, plans are afoot to partition the country into six or seven virtually independent regions. This is the latest Saudi plan fed to them by their American and Zionist masters. Having failed to defeat the Ansarallah fighters in a matter of months, their next plan is to partition the country into smaller manageable parts.

This is the mini version of the US-Zionist plan for the broader Middle East region: partition of Syria and Iraq into manageable cantons. This is meant to enable the Zionists to better control and dominate the region.

The Southern Transitional Council will also form part of this diabolical plot against Yemen. While infighting between Saudi and Emirati-backed forces rages, terrorist groups like Daesh (ISIS) and al Qaeda have taken control of large swathes of territory in Yemen. The eastern parts of the country especially the oil-rich Hadramaut province is completely under the control of al-Qaeda.

Daesh terrorists control the region running south from Sana‘a to Aden and all the way to al-Mukhalla. The Bani Saud and their so-called Arabian allies are all aligned with these terrorist groups.

The only forces standing in their way are the Ansarallah fighters. May they continue to receive divine help and protection against the forces of evil.
