Spotlight on the Zionist theft of Palestine

Crescent International

Dhu al-Hijjah 22, 14342013-10-27

The Palestinians have suffered not only at the hands of the zionists but the truth about their suffering is also deliberately suppressed and distorted worldwide so that people would not learn about it. This may be changing, slowly but surely. The saga of the zionist theft of Palestinian land is being graphically depicted through maps that are finding their way onto the transit systems in the US. This is a small but significant victory.

Crescent International

Dhu al-Hijjah 17, 14342013-10-22

Together with Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International released a 62-page report today about US drone strikes in Pakistan. We give below extract of two cases. Eight-year-old Nabeela (in photo), saw her 68-year-old grandmother blown to pieces by two US drone Hellfire missiles on October 24, 2012. US drone strikes had also killed 18 labourers about to have dinner in Miran Shah, North Waziristan.

Saudi policy in disarray over Syria

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 25, 14342013-10-01

With their policy in disarray over Syria, there is confusion and panic among the hordes of princes in Saudi Arabia. Based on recent statements and developments, there are clearly deep divisions on how to handle the fast changing situation. There are those (Bandar, for instance) that want to intensify interference in Syria while others want to cut their losses since they see the writing on the wall.

Snowden on “NSA Dragnet Mass Surveillance”

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 25, 14342013-10-01

The US regime has turned into a monster. Its surveillance programs are so intrusive that they spare no one, even close allies. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has found this out as have the Spaniards. They are not amused but the issue has gone beyond amusement. They are furious at such betrayal. There will be consequences. The whistleblower, Edward Snowden, has meanwhile warned of the dangers in such a policy.

Another ludicrous ruling from a Saudi preacher

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 23, 14342013-09-29

Instead doing what is logical and correct, the Saudi preachers give rulings that expose their lack of Islamic knowledge. On Friday a Saudi preacher claimed that women that drive cars will damage their ovaries and will develop complications when bearing children. He did not cite any scientific or medical study for his fantastic claim. Why don't they allow women to drive cars, as they do in almost every other country in the world?

Rebel infighting in Syria intensifies

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 21, 14342013-09-27

Terrorism has never been a successful strategy. Its only consequence is suffering for ordinary people. This is what is happening in Syria. The terrorist groups, however, are now fighting each other because they are unable to dislodge the government of Bashar al-Asad. Their foreign masters--Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, the US, France, Britain and Israel, to name a few--have also realized that these terrorists cannot deliver.

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 20, 14342013-09-26

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry met in New York to discuss ways of resolving the standoff about Iran's nuclear program. This was the first official meeting between Iran's foreign minister and his American counterpart in 34 years. While there has been much media hype about the meetings between officials of the two countries, it is yet to be seen whether any breakthrough will occur.

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 19, 14342013-09-25

Unable to crush the Ikhwan al-Muslimoon completely, the military junta has attacked the party's newspaper. In a late night raid, all its equipment was stolen by the police as they ransacked the headquarters of Al-Hurra wa al-Adala (Freddom and Justice), the same name used by the party. The regime will only allow its own dogs to bark.

No Rohani-Obama meeting at the UN

Crescent International

Dhu al-Qa'dah 18, 14342013-09-24

The Americans were very anxious for President Barack Obama to have a "chance encounter" with President Hassan Rohani of Iran at the UN. The meeting, however, did not take place because Iran felt the proper ground was not prepared for it. Unlike the US, Iran is not interested in photo-ops; it wants serious discussion on all issues and is anxious to resolve these through dialogue held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and dignity.

Crescent International

Shawwal 22, 14342013-08-30

The zionists have become so brazen that they have started to assault critics of Israeli crimes in the streets of Western cities. Paris, Toronto and London have all witnessed assaults by zionist thugs of critics of Israeli policies. The latest victim is George Galloway, a Member of the British Parliament for Respect Party. He was assaulted in Notting Hill, a western suburb of London today. He suffered a broken jaw and bruises to his face and head.

Will the real General Sisi please stand up!

Crescent International

Shawwal 22, 14342013-08-30

Who is General Sisi? There are multiple personalities rolled into one but it is the whispering campaign in Egyptian households backed by various sources that is causing serious concern. Neither Sisi nor any of his military or civilian spokespersons have responded to allegations about his questionable background. What is the truth? Not only Egyptians but Muslims worldwide would like to know.

Rallies against War On Syria

Crescent International

Shawwal 22, 14342013-08-30

Millions of people across the US and Canada plan to march against the US war on Syria. An attack on Syria appears imminent despite massive opposition to such aggression among Americans and Canadians. The warmongers are looking for excuses, however, flimsy, to perpetrate more aggression against another Muslim country.

Events take farcical turn in Egypt

Crescent International

Shawwal 21, 14342013-08-29

While the military-appointed "interim president" of Egypt changed the oath the military must take removing their pledge to the president, another politician, this time the leader of the Salafi Nour Party, Youness Makhioun denounced those that oppose the military as "traitors." Grovelling at the feet of the military has become fashionable for some politicians in Egypt but it is a betrayal of the proud people of Egypt.

UK parliament rejects Syria war motion

Crescent International

Shawwal 21, 14342013-08-29

British MPs mustered enough courage and common sense to reject David Cameron's motion to launch a war, this time against Syria. Aware of public weariness with wars that have caused havoc with the lives of ordinary people, the MPs, some from Cameron's own Tory party, rejected the motion leaving him humiliated. Cameron will not be able to join his American master in a new war.

Who was Feltman representing in Tehran?

Crescent International

Shawwal 19, 14342013-08-27

Jeffrey Feltman has never hidden his true intentions: like all hardcore zionists, he represents the interests of the zionist state of Israel. Previously, he used his post in the US State Department as cover to advance the Israeli agenda; now he is using the UN hat. He cannot, however, hide his spots.

Mamnoon new Pakistani president

Crescent International

Ramadan 21, 14342013-07-30

Pakistan has a new president but few people are celebrating. In the month of Ramadan, most people are concerned about their livelihood and the stifling heat to worry much about who will occupy the opulant presidential palace in Islamabad.

Massacre pushes Egypt to point of no return

Crescent International

Ramadan 19, 14342013-07-28

The Egyptian military has exposed its brutal nature very quickly. The blood splattered walls of Rabaa al-Adawiya Mosque and the surrounding pavement where hundreds of unarmed protesters were gunned down before Fajr prayers on Saturday provides ample proof of their criminal nature. Nothing short of an Islamic revolution can bring these criminals to justice. Nothing less would do.

Drama over Pakistani presidential elections

Crescent International

Ramadan 18, 14342013-07-27

While Pakistanis cannot wait to get rid of Asif Ali Zardari, a venal character who has occupied the presidency since 2008, jockeying for the post among political parties has intensified. Selection of the president is seldom done on the basis of merit; it is based on connections and whose interests you serve that determine the outcome. On July 30 Pakistanis will find out. It is most likely to be Mamnoon Hussain (picture left) of the PML-N.
