Foreign backed terrorist groups are fighting each other more than the Syria forces. They are also indulging in gruesome acts that have appalled most Syrians. They wish to have nothing to do with such barbarism.

Brutal fighting has been raging between various rebel groups and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Rebel groups that use names like the Islamic Front and other similar names but with little to do with Islam, have overrun a number of ISIL bases. The ISIL has close links with al-Qaeda and is financed by the Saudis.
The Saudis are financing almost all terrorist groups in Syria as well as in Iraq and Lebanon. According to latest information, one Saudi-backed faction, the Islamic Front and its affiliates have overrun the headquarters of ISIL in Aleppo including the children’s hospital.
Today CNN showed graphic footage of murder of civilians including children by the ISIL. This has aroused great hatred against the ISIL as well as all other foreign-backed terrorists in Syria where people want peace. There has also been intense fighting between members of the Free Syria Army (FSA) and al-Qaeda groups in which hundreds of militants have been killed.
The fighting is centered round the provinces of Idlib and Aleppo. Three days ago, at least 200 FSA fighters surrendered to the Syrian army under an amnesty deal.
Meanwhile, news has just emerged that a member of Bahrain’s ruling family, Sheikh Salman Ebrahim Mohamed al-Khalifa has joined the foreign-backed terrorists operating in Syria. Salman is a former Guantanamo Bay detainee who was released into the care of the Bahraini regime in 2005. Bahrain’s Mirror newspaper reported on December 27, 2013 that Salman had been “alienated” from the family.
He had studied at the Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University in Riyadh that has a reputation as an al-Qaeda factory.
The picture that is now emerging is that the Saudi regime is backing all the terrorist activities and that members of the ruling family in Bahrain are also part of the Qaeda network.
While the terrorists are finding it tough going in Syria because of fighting each other, they have had more success in Iraq’s Anbar province especially in Fallujah and Ramadi, thanks to the inept handling of the situation by the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
