Canadian Zionist racists oppose another Muslim project

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 04, 14352014-02-04

The zionists are nothing if they are not racists. They would even oppose something as harmless as building a seniors' home if it is for Muslims. This is what the Shia Muslim community is facing in Thornhill, a suburb outside Toronto. Ultimately, the Muslims will succeed because they are acting within their right but the entire episode once again exposes the racism of zionists.

Pak Government-Taliban talks fail to materialize

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 04, 14352014-02-04

Eleventh hour cancellation of peace talks between the two committees representing the government and the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan has raised doubts about peace. Maulana Samiul Haq, who heads the Taliban committee even expressed fears that a military campaign may be launched. He urged the Taliban to show patience and not do anything rash. There are many players, both in Pakistan and outside that do not want the peace talks to succeed.

European companies scramble for Iran oil and gas deals

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 04, 14352014-02-04

The rush for Persian black gold is on. European business executives have made a beeline to Tehran to line up deals in the lucrative oil and gas arena with the easing of some sanctions against the Islamic Republic. While only a small fraction of sanctions have been eased, European oil executives know the rush is on. They do not wish to be left out even if the Americans--and Canadians--are absent from the scene.

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 04, 14352014-02-04

Barack Obama to King Abdullah: We are still your masters--er, friends. Do not worry, just keep smiling. Can puppets demand any respect?

US senator Menendez under probe for corruption

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 02, 14352014-02-02

The American political system has been described as the best democracy money can buy. Financial scandals are rampant but even in this business of sleaze, some politicians show greater flair for it than others. Democratic Senator Robert Menendez is one of them. He is under FBI investigation for bribes as well as consorting with prostitutes. Some might say this comes with the turf.

Hizbullah vows to retaliate against Zionist attack

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 01, 14352014-02-01

The zionists' recent aggression against Lebanon is being raised at the UN Security Council by the Lebanese government while Hizbullah has vowed to retaliate at a time and place of its choosing. Israel's US-supplied warplanes attacked the village of Janta in South Lebanon on the night of February 24/25 causing no casualties but there was material damage according to Hizbullah sources.

Israel admits deep involvement in Syria

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Thani 01, 14352014-02-01

The zionists have been involved in destabilizing the government of President Bashar al-Asad from day one. They have, however, denied such involvement until now. With mounting evidence and this claim becoming untenable, they have had to admit involvement but still hiding behind the excuse of offering “humanitarian” assistance.

Turkish-Iran relations deepen during Erdogan visit

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 29, 14352014-01-30

Both Iran and Turkey have taken important steps not only to mend relations marred by their divergent outlooks on Syria but also deepen them, especially in the economic and cultural spheres. There is enormous potential if the two powerhouses come closer together.

Takfiri infighting in Syria creates dilemma for their sponsors

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 24, 14352014-01-25

The infighting between various takfiri groups, all sponsored by the US and its Arab puppets, has exposed the true nature of the conflict in Syria. It is not a conflict between Shias and Sunnis since all the takfiris claim to be "Sunnis;" rather, it is a foreign-sponsored conspiracy to weaken the resistance front against zionist Israel.

Cairo rocked by three bomb explosions

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 23, 14352014-01-24

Egypt is heading into a permanent crisis and perhaps state collapse. Three explosions rocked Cairo today. While the casualties are not very high by Egyptian standards (six dead and almost 100 injured) they come on the eve of the anniversary of the January 25 uprising that led to the ouster of dictator Hosni Mubarak on February 11, 2011. The date January 25 is symbolically important for Egyptians.

Rabi' al-Awwal 21, 14352014-01-22

In making the announcement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said Tehran had compiled and was continuing to compile evidence that would be presented at appropriate international organizations.

Geneva-II: Long on rhetoric, short on substance

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 21, 14352014-01-22

Few informed observers expect anything of substance to emerge from the Geneva-II talks currently underway in Switzerland. The only hopeful sign is that at least some Syrian opposition groups are sitting across the table talking to Syrian government representatives even if they have been cajoled into coming there by their foreign masters. Will it lead to a solution? There is little hope at present unless there is a change of mind.

UN buckles under US pressure on Iran over Syria

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 20, 14352014-01-21

The UN has once again exposed itself as a body totally subservient to the US. While UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon knows that without Iran's participation in the Geneva-II conference, there cannot be a peaceful political resolution to the Syrian conflict, the Americans are not interested in peace, only in regime change. This appears increasingly unlikely.

Only Islamic concept of freedom can guarantee people’s dignity – Rahbar

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 18, 14352014-01-19

The Rahbar, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei addressed several thousand assembled guests in Tehran on the occasion of the birthday of the noble Messenger of Allah (saws). While warning the assembled gathering and Muslims beyond against the divisive tactics of the enemies of Islam, he also gave the glad tidings that Muslims were on the rise and making good progress.

Referendum result irrelevant to reality of Egypt

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 17, 14352014-01-18

The constitutional referendum in Egypt is not meant to give the people their rights. It merely entrenches the military's grip on the political scene. It opens the way for General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the coup-maker, who overthrew a democratically elected last July, to assume direct power. The Egyptian military is back in power with all guns blazing.

Delhi has become the rape capital of the world

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 15, 14352014-01-16

Rape has become a common feature of life in India. Women are humiliated and suppressed and their rape is considered a normal part of life. The latest assault and rape of a 51-year-old Danish tourist right in the heart of Delhi once again shines light on this very serious problem.

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 14, 14352014-01-15

Terrorist bomb attacks have escalated alarmingly in Iraq in recent weeks. Facing almost certain defeat in Syria, the Saudi-backed terrorists have intensified their murderous campaign in Iraq. The Saudi regime is arming, financing and training these terrorists to destabilize the region. The Saudi aim is to divert attention from their own illegitimate rule.

Syrian army takes control of Aleppo airport

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 13, 14352014-01-14

With mercenaries fighting and killing each other in Syria, government forces have a relatively free hand to deal with the terrorists. The Syrian army has been making steady progress in the strategic northern province of Aleppo and if it retakes the area, this will staunch the flow of weapons to the mercenaries from the north.

Egypt: People herded like sheep to vote in the referendum

Crescent International

Rabi' al-Awwal 13, 14352014-01-14

The sight of heavily armed troops backed by tanks and helicopters is not very conducive to a democratic vote. That, however, is not the point. The military wants to go through the exercise of holding a “vote” on the referendum to create the impression of people's participation so that it can continue to rule with an iron fist.
