The leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime and its irresponsible rulers that should they make the mistake of attacking the Islamic Republic, they should know that Tehran has the capability to raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground.
The Rahbar issued the warning while addressing hundreds of thousands of people in the holy city of Mashhad, where the shrine of Imam Raza, the eighth Imam of the Ahlul Bayt, is located.
“The zionist regime’s rulers sometimes threaten Iran, but they know that if they make such a mistake, the Islamic Republic will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground,” the Rahbar said on Thursday (March 27) in an address to large crowds of people in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on the occasion of Nowruz (Iranian new year).
Zionist rulers have made it a habit of issuing threats against the Islamic Repulic. In recent weeks, such war-mongering rhetoric has intensified. Unfortunately, there is no condemnation of the Zionist regime’s criminal threats against the Islamic Republic.
Had any leader in Tehran issued such threats, there would be global hue and cry and Iran would be accused of warmongering. The zionists issue such threats as a matter of routine. The Rahbar served notice that should the zioists make such a mistake, they would pay a very heavy price.
The Islamic Republic has developed capabilities that can hit any part of the Zionist state’s territory that it has illegally occupied evicting the indigenous Palestinian population.
The Rahbar also spoke about American insincerity in its negotiations with the Islamic Republic. While he did not oppose negotiations, he pointed out that if the US were sincere, there would be no hurdles to reaching an agreement.
The Rahbar said the enemies of the Islamic Republic use two tactics to undermine Tehran’s achievements: sanctions (that are illegal) and threats against the Islamic Republic.
He said neither has worked and will not work in the future either.
Referring to the ongoing negotiations over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program, the Rahbar drew a clear redline: the Islamic Republic will not compromise on its right to enrich uranium up to 5 percent and on its own soil. The 20 percent enrichment was negotiable in give-and-take.
American officials reflecting total detachment from reality say that under the NPT, Iran is not automatically entitled to uranium enrichment. The US has taken it upon itself to interpret rules of international treaties based on its own interests.
The Washington warlords even refuse to acknowledge that the Zionist regime has hundreds of nuclear weapons and is not a signatory of the NPT yet it is showered with billions of dollars and no criticism of the Zionist regime is allowed in any international forum.
It is this kind of hypocrisy that infuriates people and has turned the US into the most hated regime in the world.
