Vladimir Zelensky’s corruption scandals are finally making international headlines.
The former comedian-turned-politician, installed by the US and its allies as president of Ukraine, has pilfered hundreds of millions of dollars of American tax dollars, according to a report by the investigative journalist Seymour Hersh on April 12.
Zelensky and his cronies have embezzled at least $400 million from US funds.
These were meant for diesel purchases last year, according to Hersh in a new article on Substack.
He cited a CIA estimate for this claim.
At least $105 billion have been funnelled to Ukraine to continue America's proxy war against Russia while nearly 50 million Americans live in absolute poverty.
The Europeans have also sent 65 billion euros to the Neo-Nazis in Ukraine.
The irony is that the alleged graft even includes schemes involving trade with Russia.
The US and its allies have sanctioned Russia and have barred other countries from trading with it but Zelensky and his cronies are actively involved in buying Russian diesel fuel.
They appear not to be affected by the US sanctions regime.
In the process, they have pilfered millions of dollars.
Ukraine has used intermediaries, primarily Bulgaria and Latvia, to purchase Russian oil products.
The scheme was reported last week by the Latvian television program Neka Personiga.
Zelensky and his cronies may have violated EU’s anti-Russian sanctions.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Last year, reports emerged that Zelensky’s father had purchased a house in Israel for $8 million.
This was almost certainly money stolen from funds provided by the US.
Hersh said the theft of funds in Ukraine may be on par with what was seen in Afghanistan.
The American president Joe Biden, however, is not concerned, at least not about the theft of US funds.
Zelensky was in Canada on April 11 from where he headed south to Washington DC to meet US officials.
Why is Biden so cozy with Zelensky?
It may have something to do with the business dealings of the American president’s son, Hunter Biden.
There have been persistent reports that he has been involved in massive corruption in Ukraine.
Biden senior wants to keep all this under wraps so that it does not become a scandal as the US presidential elections loom in 2024.
If information about Hunter Biden’s corruption emerges with solid evidence, it will give the Republican Party a handy tool to whip up hysteria against the Democrats.
It will almost certainly doom Joe Biden’s chances of re-election.
Already in his eighties and often forgetful of what he had said a moment ago, such information will prove highly damaging even in a corruption-plagued country like America.
Zelensky may be using blackmailing tactics to keep American money flowing to Kiev, essentially to line up the pockets of the mega-thieves.
