Toronto reverberated with Quds Day rally slogans

Crescent International

Organizers of the Quds Day rally can be truly proud of their achievement in bringing out thousands of people onto the streets of Toronto for the annual Quds Day rally. Toronto has the proud tradition of hosting the largest rally in North America. This year was no exception despite the Pan Am Games that had resulted in many roads being closed.

The streets of Toronto reverberated with chants of ‘Down with Zionism’, ‘End the Siege of Gaza’, and ‘Freedom for Palestine’. It was the annual Quds Day rally as thousands of Canadians from all walks of life gathered opposite the US Consulate on July 11. Despite the simmering heat—it was 34 degree Celsius with Toronto’s legendary humidity—and the hottest day this Ramadan, thousands of men and women (young and old) as well as youth and children attended the annual event. There were old men using walkers or in wheelchairs as well as babies in strollers.

This stood in sharp contrast to the Zionist thugs, the erroneously named Jewish Defence League (JDL)—actually the Jewish Offence League—that shouted obscenities at Quds Day rally participants. They had even brought some scantily clad Zionist sluts thinking this would detract committed Muslims. What these enemies of humanity do not realize is that committed Muslims are not attracted to such filth. JDL that has been declared a terrorist organization in the US and is officially banned there as well as its parent organization Kahane Chai in the Zionist State, continues to operate freely in Canada.

Last year, these criminals had attacked a Muslim brother and sister while they were left behind from the main Quds Day rally. Luckily, another individuals was able to capture the assault on his cell phone camera who provided this information to the police. The Zionist terrorists were charged with assault causing bodily harm. Many Canadians have wondered why the Canadian government has not banned this terrorist outfit.

The current Harper regime in Canada is so pro-Zionist that it embarrasses even many hardcore Zionists. They wish Harper would not be so blatant in his cravenness to Zionism. Toronto has a proud tradition of hosting the largest Quds Day rally in North America even surpassing New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles. This has irked the Zionists greatly fearing that such rallies are not only getting larger attracting people from all walks of life but Canadians are also becoming more aware of Zionist crimes. The Zionists fear such awareness because it undermines their carefully crafted image of victimhood while terrorizing innocent Palestinians.

The growing momentum of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign has caused panic in Zionist ranks. Even the US State Department has said that boycott of Zionist products from the illegally occupied West Bank is legitimate. There were rallies held in more than 25 cities across North America this year. Muslim, Christian and Jewish speakers addressed the rally drawing attention to the continued illegal occupation of Masjid al Aqsa as well a Palestine. There was also strong participation of the youth. A number of them recited poems in support of the Palestinians’ struggle or exposed Zionist crimes.

Historically, Toronto’s Quds Day rallies start from Queen’s Park, the provincial legislative building and after some speeches the participants march to the US Consulate. This year the rally was in reverse. Queen’s Park officials advised the Quds Day rally organizers that due to Pan Am Games (they started a day earlier), Queen’s Park grounds were not available. As responsible law-abiding citizens, the organizers decided to accept the reason although the Zionist group, B’Nai Brith claimed it was their pressure that blocked use of Queen’s Park grounds.

In 2013, another Zionist outfit—Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre—had attempted to block the rally at Queen’s Park grounds. The organizers simply assembled in the park north of Queen’s Park and after delivering speeches, marched to the US Consulate. It must, however, be stated that some Queen’s Park politicians have become Zionist puppets and try desperately to prevent any criticism of its atrocious record. Kathleen Wynne, the Ontario premier and an apology for a woman, is an arch-Zionist. She has become a regular fixture at the ‘Walk for Israel’ march.

These Zionist stooges will not walk for Canada but ask ‘how high sir’ if their Zionists masters order them to jump. The pro-Zionist policies have not and cannot prevent peace and justice loving Canadians—Muslims, Christians, Jewish and others—from expressing their abhorrence at Zionist racism and its crimes against humanity. This was evident at the Toronto Quds Day rally at which Rabbis were present; there were also other Jewish as well as Christian speakers. While Palestinians are suffering, there was great optimism that Zionism will be defeated and banished from the face of the earth.

Injustice and oppression have never lasted forever. Ultimately, truth and justice prevail.
