Netanyahu’s nuclear annihilation threat must be confronted vigorously

Crescent International

Imagine a Muslim country—any country—threatening Israel with annihilation. Western reaction will be swift and brutal.

All Western regimes and their allies would threaten the Muslim country with complete annihilation. It would be subjected to punishing sanctions and its officials charged with war crimes.

Angry editorials in newspapers and racist comment on television would be the staple narrative for weeks.

Yet this is precisely what Benjamin Netanyahu has done and there is not even a pip-squeak from the global do-gooders.

True, it is election season in the Zionist political snake pit and Netanyahu is desperate to win re-election on September 17 but such criminally irresponsible threats to annihilate its enemies is beyond insane.

Netanyahu made the threat standing next to the Dimona nuclear reactor in the Negev desert where its nuclear weapons are produced.

“Those who threaten to wipe us out put themselves in a similar danger, and in any event will not achieve their goal,” he said on August 28 during a ceremony to rename the complex near Dimona.

The Zionist entity has been developing nuclear weapons at this facility for decades even while denying doing so.

It is believed to have at least 100 nuclear weapons, the only state in the Middle East to possess such horrific weapons.

The message was not lost on its intended targets.

Iran hit back by describing Netanyahu as a “warmonger”. The threat of “atomic annihilation” against the Islamic Republic is “beyond shameless in the gall”.

“Iran, a country without nuclear weapons, is threatened with atomic annihilation by a warmonger standing next to an actual nuclear weapons factory,” Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on his official Twitter account.

Dr. Zarif further wrote:

“As the world marks Int’l Day against Nuclear Tests, let’s remember that only nuclear bombs in our region belong to Israel and the US; the former a habitual aggressor & the latter the sole user of nukes. Let’s also remember that Iran has called for Nuclear Weapon Free Zone since 1974.”

Despite calls by all states in the Middle East to make the region a nuclear-free zone, the US has adamantly opposed this.

The Zionist entity’s financier does not want its client regime to be without the ultimate weapon of annihilation.

This goes simultaneously with US policy of denying Islamic Iran nuclear research even for peaceful purposes. What hypocrisy!

Donald Trump tore up the 2015 multilateral nuclear deal with Iran and insists that Tehran eschew any plans to develop missiles for self-defence, a demand contemptuously dismissed by Iran.

Netanyahu’s threats cannot be taken lightly. The Zionist mass murderer must be confronted and charged with war crimes.

That is the least that is required otherwise he will blow up the entire region at the altar of his megalomania.
