What was Netanyahu’s reason for this latest outrage?
He ordered “powerful” strikes following an exchange of gunfire with what Israel alleged was Hamas fighters in Rafah (southern Gaza).
The Israeli occupation amry later said an Israeli soldier was killed.
Hamas denied its fighters were involved in the fighting.
Even if that were the case, does it justify the cold-blooded murder of 104 Palestinian civilians at a time when a ceasefire is in effect?
As Israeli bombs flattened residential buildings, at least 18 members of the same family in central Gaza, including children, parents and grandparents, were also murdered.
Perhaps Netanyahu can feel vindicated that he achieved great success by killing an entire family plus more than 80 others.
His blood-thirsty allies in the cabinet may have felt temporarily placated by the latest outrage but they would demand more Palestinian blood.
This was in clear violation of the so-called ceasefire that went into effect on October 10.
The latest outrage is part of dozens of previous ceasefire violations by the zionist war criminals.
The so-called ceasefire was brokered by the US and pushed by Qatar, Egypt and Turkiye.
Donald Trump even convened a spectacle at Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt on October 13 to claim that he had achieved peace in the “Middle East”.
As the UN Special Rapporteur for Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese aptly described it, “Ceasefire according to Israel: ‘You cease, I fire’, is both an insult and a distraction.”
Hamas understands Israel’s intent: it fabricates “false pretexts” to renew aggression in Gaza.
Prior to the latest attacks on October 28/29, Hamas said Israel had carried out at least 125 violations.
On October 20, Netanyahu boased in the Israeli parliament that he had dropped 153 tons of bombs and killed 44 Palestinians in Gaza because two Israeli soldiers were killed a day earlier.
His allegation that Hamas killed the soldiers was completely false.
Instead, an Israeli bulldozer illegally demolishing buildings in Rafah struck an unexploded Israeli ordnance that killed the two soldiers.
Even the US was aware of this yet Israel got away without even a verbal reprimand.
Since the so-called ceasefire went into effect on October 10, at least 211 Palestinians have been killed and 597 wounded in Israeli attacks, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
The zionists also continue to impose a blockade of the Rafah Crossing with Egypt preventing food, water and medicines from entering the besieged Gaza enclave.
Only a trickle is being allowed.
The people of Gaza continue to face famine because the zionists refuse to honour their commitment under the ceasefire agreement.
