Western lies augmented by fake videos about events in Syria are coming thick and fast from their agents, writes Shahnaz Mirza.
If everything the Western media tells us about Syria were true, there would be hundreds of thousands of Syrians facing imminent starvation and death. Isn’t this what we were told about the 250,000 Syrians allegedly trapped in eastern Aleppo with no food. We now know that there were only a quarter of that total. Second, it was the rebels who hoarded food and much needed supplies, depriving and starving civilians.
The overwhelming majority of civilians have moved to government-controlled areas after the city’s liberation, recounting how they were forcibly prevented from leaving. Those who went to rebel-held areas are a small percentage and are the rebels’ family members.
But it is the propaganda about children that is most disturbing. In wars, people do get killed but the manner in which lies are being told is quite disturbing. For instance, the Egyptian police arrested five people in Port Said for using children to stage fake “Aleppo” video footage. Photos and video taken at a demolition site in the Egyptian city show a little girl with red stains (it was paint) on a white dress and bandages. She was being interviewed about “life in the war-torn Syrian city” where she has never set foot.
How many other fake videos are out there? And why do Muslims fail to ask: why has the West or its media suddenly become so concerned about Muslims?
