Were it not so serious, the current occupant of the White House Donald Trump and the men (and some women) around him would be prime candidates for the lunatic asylum. But this group of nutcases wields enormous power. It is frightening to imagine that Trump has his grubby finger so close to the nuclear button. Only America could send such an ill-mannered narcissist and con man to the highest office in the land.
To be sure, past American presidents were not men of honor or moral rectitude either (there has never been a woman president!), but they were not morons or reckless clowns. They were calculating, cunning, and generally aware of the limits of power. Not this band of thugs in power. The world is decidedly a more dangerous place.
