Warmonger Bolton gets the boot as National Security Advisor!

Crescent International

John Bolton, the most vicious warmonger in Donald Trump’s inner circle, has been given the boot.

While widely expected given his public disagreements with Trump over a number of foreign policy issues, his firing September 10 still came as a surprise.

Bolton had presided over a meeting Tuesday morning and was scheduled to appear at a joint press conference with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, according to a White House press release.

Before then, Trump tweeted that he had fired the thick moustache-d Bolton.

There was widespread jubilation among a wide cross-section of the political elite that saw Bolton as an out of control warmonger. “Good-riddance,” they shouted in unison!

There isn’t a war that he did not like and if he had his way, he would have bombed half the world by now with hundreds of millions of dead.

The Trump White House is a mad house. A motley collection of extremely unpleasant characters has congregated there but Bolton was the nastiest of them all and way in front of the lunatic fringe.

Gruff and with in your face attitude, he finally got under Trump’s skin. It turned out to be a clash of vipers; Trump with greater authority, finally stung the junior snake, no less poisonous.

In an abrupt tweet announcement Tuesday, Trump wrote he had asked his national security adviser to resign, noting that he “strongly disagreed with many” of Bolton’s suggestions “as did others in the administration.”

Reflecting customary hypocrisy that characterizes politics in the West, Trump tweeted: “I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.”

Relations between Pompeo and Bolton were so bad that the two did not speak to each other for months.

One group that would sorely miss Bolton is the Mujahideen-e Khalq Organization (MKO—aka munafiqeen) that forked out hundreds of thousands of dollars for his services.

He lobbied on behalf of the terrorist outfit and appeared at their anti-Iran hatefests a number of times.

While there are others—Rudy Giuliani and their ilk—to do the MKO’s bidding for money, Bolton was in a class of his own.

Bolton is the third national security advisor to be dismissed from the White House in as many years. Michael Flynn and H.R. McMaster preceded him in the White House snakepit.

In the same period, other senior officials have also been dismissed or have resigned.

During Trump’s presidency, the US has been embroiled in a number of conflicts. These include the provocatively belligerent moves against Iran, North Korea, China and Russia.

Throw in the destructive wars in Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen, and one finds a mad superpower gone rogue.

Bolton’s dismissal, however, will come as relief.

White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told reporters Tuesday that Charles Kupperman will be acting national security adviser.
