Trump’s own Versailles Treaty of Surrender!

Crescent International

Like Germany in June 1919, Donald Trump has been forced to sign his own Versailles Treaty on June 17, 2026 signalling America's defeat in its illegal war on Iran (Image ChatGPT)

Did French President Emmanual Macron set up Donald Trump for a Versailles-style treaty of surrender on June 17?

Trump said he “didn’t like it” but had to sign the MoU.

On June 28, 1919, Germany was forced to sign the Versailles Treaty signaling its defeat that ended the First World War.

On June 17, 2026, Trump signed the MoU with Iran signalling America's defeat in the 100-day war.

While the MoU is still a preliminary document and finer details on major issues have to be negotiated in the next 60 days, the MoU contains some interesting revelations.

First, it formally ends the war on ALL fronts, including Lebanon.

American forces will have to withraw from Iran’s borders.

The US will not deploy additional forces nor impose any new sanctions and there will be no war on Iran in the future nor interference in its internal affairs.

The US will lift the blockade of Iranian ports and vessels.

Iran will allow tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz without charging a fee for 60 days.

After that period, Iran together with Oman will collect service and security fees, thus confirming that Tehran will now have full control of the shipping lane.

Iranian tankers have already started moving through the Persian Gulf into the Sea of Oman.

The US blockade is not hindering their passage.

The US waivers allow Iran to sell oil and other goods on the international market and collect money from such sales.

Trump admitted that the US was holding Iran’s money and it will have to be returned.

The amounts mentioned are between $120 billion to $150 billion.

Some funds have already been given to Iran, through Qatar and the UAE.

Trump also confirmed that a $300 billion investment fund will be set up to rebuild Iran after the destruction caused by the US-Israel illegal war.

Iran will keep its missiles. This was admitted by Trump during a press conference at the Versailles.

Tehran has pledged never to acquire nuclear weapons. This has been Iran’s position all along.

Nuclear weapons are not part of its defence doctrine as was demonstrated during the 40-day active war that started on February 28, 2026.

Iran will dilute its 60% enriched uranium inside the country.

It will continue to maintain a peaceful nuclear program, as it is entitled to under the NPT.

So, what precisely did Trump achieve by launching an illegal war against Iran?

The indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu pushed him into the war on a false narrative.

None of Netanyahu’s projections came true.

Iran has emerged much stronger.

American and Israeli militaries have been degraded and are not in a position to relaunch another war soon.

There is, however, Netanyahu’s war on Lebanon and Gaza.

He is lashing out because he wants to wreck the Iran-US deal.

Given Trump’s admission that the world would have run out of oil reserves in four weeks if the war had not been stopped, he signed the MoU.

Now he has to stop Netanyahu.

That is his major test.

Iran expects Trump to deliver on this.

If he cannot, that would mean Trump is incapable of fulfilling the agreement he has signed.

Iran would then be under no obligation to fulfill its part of the deal.

If the US and Israel misbehave, Iran can block the Strait of Hormuz again.

Now it owns it and there is not much the US can do about it.

It is quite appropriate that Trump signed the MoU at Versailles, clearly indicating his defeat and humiliation like Germany 107 years ago.

History has a way of repeating itself.
