Editor The notion of a rules-based global order is pure fiction. It is a fraud perpetrated on the weak and vulnerable. Countries with large stockpile of weapons threaten and force weaker states to submit to their demands. These constitute war crimes and state terrorism.
‘Might is right’ is the norm and often prevails, but not always. When the victims resist the aggressors’ bullying, they are accused of indulging in terrorism.
Specific examples will clarify this point. When the Taliban resisted the US invasion and occupation of their country, they were branded as terrorists. For 20 years, the Americans bombed the country into the Stone Age. In fact, most Afghans, especially in the rural areas, already lived in the Stone Age anyway. Even their mud huts were bombed and destroyed.
Wedding parties, schools and hospitals were bombed, killing thousands of innocent civilians. The US always made the excuse that it attacked “suspected terrorists”. No proof was necessary. Mere suspicion was enough to justify such heinous crimes.
When independent observers proved that far from being terrorists, innocent civilians, mainly women and children, were murdered, the Americans would immediately announce that they will “investigate”.
Nothing has ever come of such investigations. A more recent example was the US terrorist strike on the girls’ school in Menab on February 28, 2026.
Nearly 168 school girls ranging in age from 7 to 12 were murdered in cold blood. When rescuers rushed to the scene, the Americans bombed the site again to cause more casualties.
The same day, they also bombed a sports hall in Lemerd, in Fars province. Teenage girls were playing volleyball when missiles hit them, killing at least 22. A UN fact-finding mission concluded that US bombing of the two schools constituted war crimes.
The US CENTCOM commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, when asked about the murder of Menab school girls, said it was under “investigation”. Donald Trump dismissed a reporter’s question about the killings by saying, it was a “long time ago”! The question was asked on June 17, 2026; the school girls were murdered on February 28, less than four months ago.
Since 911, the US and its allies have murdered more than 32 million people, most of them Muslims, worldwide (see also here). The figures include deaths by bombings, disease and starvation. It is a modern-day genocide of Muslims.
On the subject of genocide, we cannot forget the one still underway in Gaza. The zionist war criminals cannot kill the Palestinians fast enough. They are determined to wipe out all the Palestinians not only in Gaza but also in the West Bank.
According to official figures, the number of Palestinians murdered in Gaza has exceeded 74,000 since October 2023. The actual number is much higher. Another 8,000 to 10,000 are buried under the rubble.
The zionist war criminals have made no secret of their intent to wipe out all the Palestinians, either through murder or expulsion (ethnic cleansing). It would be a mistake to assume that there is any difference in the policy among politicians of the right or left in the zionist entity.
While a ceasefire of sorts went into effect in Gaza in October 2025, that has not prevented the zionists from continuing their genocidal campaign. It has now been extended to the West Bank and East Jerusalem as well.
The US, of course, is the principal backer of the zionist genocidal policy but most European countries as well as Canada are equally complicit. They support the zionist entity by supplying it weapons, and provide political and diplomatic support. This takes numerous forms but the ultimate objective is to cushion the zionist war criminals from accountability.
European countries such as Britain, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium et al, and Canada have their own gory record of genocide perpetrated against peoples in Asia and Africa or against the indigenous populations in North America. So, what zionist Israel is doing is nothing unusual for them.
And then there are the second tier genocidaires. These include Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, the UAE, Pakistan, India and Myanmar. The Arabian regimes—Saudi, Egypt, Syria and the UAE—target Islamic activists. They are seen as a threat to their illegitimate hold on power.
The same applies to Pakistan where the military has imposed a brutal crackdown on the country’s most popular political leader Imran Khan and his party. Khan has languished in solitary confinement in appalling conditions for more than three years. His wife and sisters are also held in prison as are a large number of party workers.
Imran Khan’s “crimes” include his refusal to surrender Pakistan’s sovereignty to the Americans, and grant immunity from prosecution to the corrupt generals and their puppet politicians. The Americans insist that Pakistan must abide by its demands. The generals and the politicians are willing to lick America’s boots.
In Hindu India and Buddhist Myanmar, Muslims are targeted. Both regimes want to wipe out their Muslim populations.
The outlook, however, is not entirely bleak. The Islamic Republic of Iran has stood up to US-zionist aggression and inflicted massive damage on both. Given the vast arsenal of weapons in US-Israeli possession, it was not supposed to turn out this way.
By meticulous planning, judicious use of resources and steely determination backed by the willingness to court martyrdom, Iran’s resistance has stunned the world. There is widespread admiration for Iran, its leadership and people. Even a majority of Americans are opposed to the US-zionist war on Iran.
Tehran has also successfully resisted US-western pressure over its peaceful nuclear program. In the process, it has exposed western hypocrisy over the question of the use of nuclear technology.
As a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran is entitled to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes. Members of the NPT are required to support it, yet it is vilified and attacked. The US and Israel openly threaten to bomb Iran again. Such threats constitute state terrorism.
The zionist entity refuses to sign the NPT or allow international inspections of its nuclear facilities. It possesses hundreds of nuclear weapons but gets a pass. The contrast between the west’s animosity toward Islamic Iran and support for zionist Israel is a striking example of hypocrisy.
The political tide, however, is turning. The US and zionist Israel suffered setbacks in Brazil and Serbia. In Brazil, the pro-Palestinian Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (popularly known as Lula) defeated the US-zionist-backed candidate Jair Bolsonaro. After his defeat, Bolsonaro fled the country and sought refuge in the US.
In Serbia, a student-led movement ousted the
longtime fascist president Aleksandar Vučić in the October 25 elections. The tech savvy students focused on regime corruption. Vučić was staunchly pro-Israel and is a close friend of the indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.
States and rulers must be judged not by words but by their actions. People worldwide are demanding action, not rhetoric.
