Saudis, Qataris and Syrian girls

Abdul Samad Khan

It is truly shocking that the Saudis and Qataris would stoop so low as to target vulnerable Syrian refugees in camps in Jordan and Turkey. Muslim should take note against these corrupters and take steps to get rid of them.

After reading your editorial, “Saudis, Qataris preying on Syrian girls” (Crescent, April 2013), I was filled with rage at the callousness of the Saudis and Qataris. Do these people have no shame that they conduct themselves in this un-Islamic manner? Perhaps the Saudis and Qataris as well as other rich Arabians do not care what the rest of the world thinks of them. They are so consumed by worldly allures that they have forgotten they will answer to Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment.

It is abundantly clear that Saudi and Qatari regimes are financing the war against Syria. Even the New York Times admitted this on February 25, 2013 saying the CIA shipped weapons purchased in Croatia, which were paid for by the Saudis, to the rebels in Syria. The Qatari ruler has also said on numerous occasions that Arabian armies should overthrow the government of Bashar al-Asad! Why doesn’t the Qatari Emir stop the disgusting behaviour of his compatriots who go to Syrian refugee camps in Jordan and Turkey to “purchase” young Syrian girls?

If these rulers are such friends of the Syrian people, they should donate money to look after Syrian refugees in Jordan and Turkey. Their aim, of course, is very different; they are only doing what their Western masters order them to do.
