By destroying the sacred sites of Islam, the Saudis are wiping out Islamic history. The Zionists are involved in a similar criminal enterprise in Occupied Palestine.
Every religion has sacred sites and places. Muslims have great regard for the two Harams in Makkah and Madinah and al-Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem. Add to that the numerous other historical sites in the two Harams that are not mere symbols but evidence of Islamic and prophetic history. The House of Saud has no right to destroy them under any pretext, whether to expand the two sacred masjids or to make additional space for pilgrims. Other ways must be found to address these issues, not at the expense of Islam’s sacred sites.
