The plight of the Rohingya Muslims once again highlights two points: the sad state of the Muslim Ummah and the failure of Muslim nation-states to safeguard the interests of Muslims. Even the UN has declared them the most persecuted minority in the world, yet where is the response of Muslim governments? They have appealed to the UN to help these oppressed people who are being hacked to death or burned alive. Why can’t a few Muslim countries blockade Myanmar and demand that its ruthless rulers stop persecuting the Rohingya Muslims?
