The West Asian region (aka the Middle East) has suffered decades of turmoil.
The US and its allies—the collective west and zionist Israel—have targeted Islamic Iran and blame it for all the ills afflicting the region.
Several rounds of talks—multilateral and bilateral—have taken place but peace has proved elusive.
The US, Israel and Europe have targeted Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, its ballistic missiles and its support for resistance groups in the region.
Even when a multilateral agreement—the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)—was signed in 2015 and Iran agreed to drastically curtail its uranium enrichment, the US walked away from it.
The Europeans refused to fulfill their obligations under the JCPOA.
Only Iran was required to comply with the agreement while others blatantly violated it.
Recently (February 6, 2026), Iran again held indirect talks with the US in Muscat.
Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi acted as go-between.
In 2025, Iran had held five round of talks with the US.
The sixth round was scheduled for June 15 in Oman when the zionist entity attacked Iran on June 13.
The US also joined in.
The US-zionist attacks were meant to cripple Iran militarily and destroy its nuclear program.
They failed.
While Tehran is back to indirect talks, the US has to restore the trust it lost by attacking Iran in the middle of negotiations.
Is Trump serious or is he using the negotiations to find a pretext to attack Iran again?
This is what the zionist war criminals want.
The Islamic Republic has always preferred diplomacy over military conflict but this time, it is doing so with full military preparedness.
Its leadership has warned that if attacked, the war will not be confined to Iran.
The entire region will be engulfed in it, including the numerous US military bases that surround Iran.
The US demands no nuclear weapons for Iran, no uranium enrichment on its soil, removal of all enriched uranium abroad, limits on its ballistic missiles program and end to support for resistance groups in the region.
These are essentially Israeli demands, and illegal.
The zionists want a free hand to dominate the region.
Iran’s military power stands in the way.
All other challengers—real or imagined—have been wiped out: Iraq, Libya and Syria, and their leaders either killed or exiled.
Resistance groups—Hamas and Hizbullah—have also suffered massive losses including their leaders.
Yet they are far from down or eliminated.
The Ansarallah in Yemen are also still standing.
This brings us to the question of the reasons for endless turmoil in the region.
Is Iran’s peaceful nuclear program or its ballistic missiles the cause of the problem?
Iran has not attacked any country in 250 years; the US has not spared any in the same period.
Since October 2023, zionist Israel has attacked six countries: Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Qatar and Iran.
Thus, implantation of the illegal zionist entity in Palestine is the root cause of regional turmoil.
This was further facilitated by British-Fench intrigue a century ago dividing the region into unstable statelets.
Arabian tribal chiefs were installed to serve British-French interests.
When oil was discovered, the Americans also joined the plunder.
The US took full control of the region after the Second World War because Britain and France could no longer control their colonial possessions.
When zionist Israel, as the west’s colonial outpost, was implanted in Palestine in 1947-1948, it needed protection.
Numerous US military bases were established under the guise of “protecting” the region from “Godless communists”.
When the Soviet Union disintegrated at the end of 1991, the stated raison d’etre for US-western presence in the region disappeared.
Western, especially American forces should have withdrawn.
Instead, they dug their claws deeper.
They found a new pretext: Islamic Iran that overthrew the west’s favourite puppet, the Shah.
The collective west led by the US carried out assassinations, sabotage, sanctions and wars against the Islamic Republic.
In recent weeks, the US has also sent a vast naval armada to the region, threatening Iran.
Now that we have identified the sources of the problem, we can outline a realistic agenda for talks between Iran and the US.
1: Immediate withdrawal of the US fleet;
2: Timeline for dismantling all US military bases in the region; and,
3: Dismantling the zionist entity and sending the illegal squatters back to Europe (East and West) and North America: their countries of origin.
Only these specific steps will bring peace to the region otherwise it will continue to suffer chaos and instability.
