NAM summit

Sahibzada Iqbal Khan

There may still be some hope from NAM, argues reader.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran was truly inspiring. I was never too impressed with NAM’s behavior in the past but it seems to have been reinvigorated under the dynamic leadership of Iran. While it may be too optimistic to talk about NAM substituting for the UN (although the UN is losing relevance), under Iran’s leadership it may be able to checkmate some of the egregious crimes perpetrated by the US and its NATO allies. If it succeeds even partially, this would be a great achievement.
