The aging and ailing King Abdullah has been asked to quit because he has no capacity to govern. Poor health, lack of education and of course old age make him unfit to rule. Besides, hereditary kingship has no place in Islam.
Mr. Abdullah bin ‘Abd al-‘Aziz, I recently wrote a letter to you that was published in the Crescent International newsmagazine (Vol. 42, No. 3). In that short letter, I humbly asked you to quit being a leader of Arabia. The reason is that you are very old, in poor health and with poor education.
I am not a stranger to Arabia. I was born and raised in Madinah and lived in many parts of the country. In the course of 16 years of Saudi government service, I held increasingly responsible positions. I believe that my native land cannot have equality and amirs. As long as ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Saud and his sons and grandsons insist on calling themselves “kings” and “amirs,” Islamic rule in Saudi Arabia is a mere proclamation, not a fact.
Mr. Abdullah, you must know that being the leader of Arabia is difficult, demanding, complicated, and exhausting. With your third grade education, old age and poor health, you do not have the cranial capacity, intellectual curiosity or quality of mind to understand the job, much less handle it. A wise man once said, “A leader without education is like a car without wheels. You can shine it up all you like but it cannot take you where you need to go.” You are definitely ignorant and 89 years is too late to start. Besides, al-Yamama Palace is the wrong place for remedial education. Retire now and remember to take your medications. I wish you the best of health. I really do.
