The people of Kashmir have suffered for a long time under India’s brutal occupation. It is good to learn that efforts are being made to bring their plight to the attention of the world community. On behalf of the suffering people of Kashmir I would like to thank the Canadian Peace Alliance and members of the Friends of Kashmir for raising this issue at such an important forum. I believe with consistent effort, the suffering of the Kashmiri people can be ended.
