Israel murders two Palestinians accused of kidnapping ‘settlers’

Crescent International

The cold blooded murder of more than 2,000 Palestinians in Gaza during July-August assault was not enough to satiate Israel's blood lust. Two Palestinians accused of kidnapping and killing three Israeli illegal squatters on June 22 were brutally murdered in their hiding place. Even this, however, would not deter the zionists from murdering Palestinians because it has become a way of life for them.

Israel has murdered two Palestinians accused of involvement in the kidnapping and killing of three Zionist settlers three months ago.

The two Palestinians, Marwan Qawasmeh, 29, and Amer Abu Aisha, 32, were members of Hamas who had been hiding out in the basement of a carpentry shop in northwest Hebron.

They were shot and killed when Israeli soldiers stormed their hiding place.

The death of the three Zionist settlers, illegal squatters on Palestinian lands, was used by the Zionist regime to launch blood-soaked assault on Gaza in July 2014.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Human Affairs, more than 2,000 Palestinians (2104 to be precise) were killed in the war, including 1,462 civilians (which included 495 children and 253 women).

According to these conservative UN estimates, 69 percent of those killed were civilians. Other estimates say the civilian casualties are much higher.

Israel blamed Hamas for the deaths even though there was no proof or evidence offered.

Regarding the murder of the two Palestinians, Israel claims that the Shin Bet, the domestic security service, had collected information on their culpability but declined to publish the ‘facts’.

Soon after Netanyahu accused Hamas for the deaths, he had also claimed that he would make the evidence public, but so far he has failed to do so.

Thousands of Palestinians attended the funeral for Qawasmeh and Abu Aisha.

In its September 23 article on the murder of Qawasmeh and Abu Aisha, the British daily, The Guardian reported that Hamas spokesman in Gaza, Sami Abu Zuhri, said: “Hamas praises the role martyrs Abu Aisha and Qawasmeh played in chasing down Israeli settlers and we stress that their assassination will not weaken the resistance.”

Hebron is a particularly intolerant city, famous for right-wing Jewish extremist settlers verbally and physically abusing not only Palestinian residents of the city but also Palestinians from the surrounding villages.

The Guardian reported Meshaal’s spokesman in Qatar, Hussam Badran, praising the two Palestinians on his Twitter account: “The martyrdom of Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisha came after a long life full of jihad sacrifice and giving. This is the path of resistance, which we all are moving in.”
