How deeply is the Zionist regime involved in Syria? It is not merely the frequent attacks on Syrian troops and military bases of which there have been numerous incidents. The zionists are also involved in supporting the terrorists.
Earlier reports that Israel has facilitated the transfer of at least 600 wounded Syrian rebel fighters to Israeli hospitals for treatment has just been reconfirmed by Ehud Yaari, Lafer International Fellow with The Washington Institute, and a Middle East commentator for Israel's Channel Two television.
Yaari offers the lame excuse that Israel is concerned about al-Qaeda’s control of territory adjacent to the Occupied Golan Heights, hence its support for local militias in Southern Syria.
He claims it started as a purely humanitarian step to extend emergency help to injured and sick Syrians from neighboring villages. Might one ask, why such “humanitarian help” is denied to the Palestinians suffering brutal Israeli occupation?
Yaari admits that a “significant operation of this type indicates that a system of communications and frequent contacts have been established with the local rebel militias, since the evacuation of the injured and their return to Syria seem to function flawlessly.”
Israel’s area of operation stretches from the Golan Heights to Mount Druze in the east, and between the southern suburbs of Damascus to the city of Deraa.
It is important to keep in mind that the Syrian uprising was instigated from outside and launched from Deraa, a small town close to the Jordanian border. The plot was hatched in a Paris café in February 2011. The conspirators included a number of Syrian opposition members and their foreign sponsors.
Among the foreign instigators were US ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, former US ambassador to Lebanon, Jeffrey Feltman and Saudi intelligence chief, Bandar bin Sultan. A representative of the Hariri clan in Lebanon as well as a senior Al Jazeera correspondent were also present.
The uprising in Deraa had surprised a lot of observers. Whenever an uprising starts in any country, it is usually the capital city or a major city, not some nondescript town like Deraa. The conspirators had chosen Deraa because it was close to the Jordanian border and weapons could easily be smuggled in there.
For years, the zionists and their American allies as well as drumbeaters in the media denied Israel’s involvement in Syria. It has now become impossible to do so, hence Yaari’s admission.
The Syrian rebels’ close alliance with the zionists has been well known. Their chief priest, Adnan Arour has openly admitted that the rebels have no conflict with Israel. In fact, he has called upon Israel to help liberate Syria from Bashar al-Asad. This is not surprising since their chief financier Saudi Arabia is working hand in glove with the zionists.
