The takfiri terrorists have been dealt blow in Qalamoun mountains at the Syrian Lebanese border by Hizbullah fighters. Hizbullah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah gave the good tidings in a televised address this evening when he announced that the terrorists had been driven from some 300 kms of territory, mostly in Syria.
"A strong defeat was dealt to the armed militants and they left the areas of battlefield," the Shaykh said in a televised address tonight. However he cautioned against assuming that the terrorist threat was completed eliminated. "There were many battles that led to the defeat of the armed militants," Shaykh Seyyed Nasrallah said, adding that it is far from over. "We are still at the heart of the battle."
A number of US, Saudi and Zionist-backed terrorist outfits have created havoc in Syria and Iraq over the last four years. These include Al Nusra Front, al Qaeda as well as the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). These groups have perpetrated horrific crimes against innocent civilians in the region. They operate inside Syria as well as on the Syria-Lebanon border trying to destabilize Lebanon as part of the US-Saudi-Zionist plan to undermine the resistance movement, Hizbullah.
Hizbullah fighters have made a significant contribution to confronting the terrorist outfits in Syria. While many Hizbullah fighters have achieved martyrdom in fighting against the terrorists, they have also inflicted massive damage on the terrorist outfits.
Had it not been for Hizbullah support, the terrorists would occupied much of Syria and caused even greater havoc than they have done so far. Intense fighting has gone on in several regions including Aleppo, Daraa and Jisr al-Shoghour. By driving the terrorists out of large parts of Qalamoun, Hizbullah fighters have dealt a blow their supply lines between Damascus and Homs.
