In an email message to Charles Upton, the American poet and metaphysician who conceived of the Covenants Initiative, which was sent on January 27, 2018, Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, the American Islamic scholar and co-founder of Zaytuna College, informed him “I’m in full support of your initiative and your work. Always have been.” “If I’m not a signatory on the initiative,” asked Shaykh Yusuf, “by all means, feel free to add me.” “I’ve read two of your books,” asserted Shaykh Yusuf, probably referring to The System of Antichrist and Legends of the End, “and found many parallels with my own conclusions about the world’s current state.” He concluded his communication by asking Allah (swt) “to unite the hearts of believers in this demonic age.”
