Decentralize power in Pakistan

Ilyas Khan Baloch

Decentralization of power is the only solution to the many problems facing Pakistan, says organizer of the Islamic Democratic Party in Pakistan Ilyas Khan Baloch.

Decentralization of power in the hands of the people at the grassroots level on the basis of the division of provinces is the only way for the socio-political system in Pakistan to change.

Pakistan is greatly in need of change from the prevailing sole power in the hands of one person or a few of them, whereas 99% of the people are left powerless having no voice in the decision-making process. This must change.
This is only possible with the decentralization of power to empower people at the grassroots level, with equal opportunity and basic guarantees for the establishment of a welfare state with self-sufficiency in agriculture and industries along with strong defence and export-oriented foreign policy.

I will appeal to all patriotic, downtrodden and oppressed people to read our manifesto on the web: www.idp.org.pk
