Dealing with the problem of Bani Saud

Zafar Bangash

Muslims must understand that Bani Saud are a colonial creation that are serving the interests of imperialism and Zionism. Under their control, historical sites have been destroyed and Hajj reduced to mere rituals.

Most informed Muslims are aware of the problems the Najdi Bedouins (aka Bani Saud or the House of Saud) have created for the Ummah. From their distorted views on Islam to their insistence on stoking sectarianism and supporting terrorists to create mayhem in other countries — Syria, Iraq, Yemen, etc. — they are nothing but trouble. Add to that their penchant for head chopping of poor domestic servants and other foreign workers, and one can begin to develop a composite picture of their oppressive nature. Why then do Muslims not take a serious stand against these barbarians from Dar‘iyah and strive to get rid of them?

This has much to do with the Najdi Bedouins’ control of Makkah and Madinah, the two holiest cities of Islam (known together as the Haramayn) that Muslims visit to perform Hajj. The Najdis’ illegal occupation of the Hijaz has resulted in many Muslims naively assuming that the sanctity of these places also extends to the rulers. According to this logic, the Zionists should be accepted as pious because they occupy al-Masjid al-Aqsa, the third holiest place in Islam.

The Najdi Bedouins also spend huge sums of money — $100 billion since 1975 — to buy the loyalty of people that drumbeat on their behalf. Bani Saud have sponsored a large number of madrasahs in different parts of the world that churn out fanatics of the kind rampaging through Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. This nexus of madrasahs has been the single most significant source of extremism plaguing the world of Islam today.

Muslims and others have gradually woken up to the impact the poisoned fruit of Najdi indoctrination has had in the world. They specialize in creating divisions in the Ummah when Allah (swt) calls for unity among Muslims (3:103). Much greater effort, however, is needed to confront the fitnah of Bani Saud.

A good starting point would be to recognize that they are the creation of British colonialism. They were imposed in the Arabian Peninsula and particularly Makkah and Madinah nearly a century ago to control the Muslims. Strictly speaking, the imperialists and Zionists should not come anywhere near these holy places as per a hadith of the noble Messenger (pbuh), yet under the Najdi Bedouins, they are totally occupied by the enemies of Islam. Occupation does not have to be physical; if Muslims are unable to perform Hajj according to Qur’anic commands and the prophetic Sunnah and instead it is conducted according to the wishes of the imperialists and Zionists, then it is as if they occupy the holy places.

This is deliberate. If Hajj were performed based on the teachings of the Qur’an, it would become central to the affairs of Muslims. The problems confronting the Ummah would be discussed at the time of Hajj and solutions found for them. It would also immediately become clear who the principal instigators of the problems confronting the world of Islam are: imperialists and Zionists. This in turn would lead to the realization that the Najdi Bedouins are agents of the enemies of Islam. From there, it would be a short step to getting rid of them.

Islam forbids aggression and oppression as well as injustice. Further, the noble Qur’an says that shirk — assembling rivals/competitors with Allah’s (swt) power, authority, and divinity — is the greatest sin a person can commit (31:13). The Najdi Bedouins are guilty of all these crimes and more. Here is why.

They have waged wars of aggression against other countries causing hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths. At home, they terrorize people through such horrific practices as public beheadings. While Islam provides total freedom for people to criticize their rulers if they err, the Najdi Bedouins absolutely forbid any criticism of their policies or even mention of the fact that there are human rights violations in the medieval kingdom. These are considered crimes punishable by long prison sentences. And through a January 2014 decree, the Najdi Bedouins prohibited people from withdrawing bay‘ah (allegiance) from the king. In Islam, bay‘ah is given voluntarily, not coerced. When the khilafah was subverted into mulukiyah, the kings used coercion to to commission the bay‘ah. Thus, the Najdi Bedouins are openly admitting that their rule has nothing to do with Islam.

They are guilty of two other unforgiveable crimes: subservience to imperialism and Zionism that the Najdi Bedouins are not shy to admit anymore, and their arbitrary decision to grant or refuse visas to Muslims to perform Hajj. The imposition of visas is a clear violation of the Qur’anic command wherein Allah (swt) addresses the noble Messenger (pbuh) to proclaim unto all the people the duty of Hajj (22:27). If it is a duty and an obligation, on what authority do the Najdis impose a visa requirement to perform Hajj? Further, the Najdi Bedouins’ subservience to imperialists and Zionists who can be categorized as mushriks, disqualifies them from tending to the House of Allah (9:17), that is al-Masjid alaHaram in Makkah.

Committed Muslims must pay serious attention to these Qur’anic injunctions and take urgent steps to take control of the Haramayn (Makkah and Madinah) from the control of the corrupt and corrupting Najdi Bedouins.
