Saudi regime continues to expose its despicable nature

The pretend-to-be Islamic government—the Saudi regime—has discredited itself once again.

As reported by middleeastmonitor.com, “it gave permission for Vogue Arabia to conduct a raunchy photoshoot of international supermodels within the historical site of Al-Ula in the province of Madinah.

Vogue Arabia, the Arab edition of the renowned US-based fashion magazine, released its 24-hour campaign photoshoot for the New York-based label Mônot on July 11, which featured models such as Kate Moss, Mariacarla Boscono, Candice Swanepoel, Jourdan Dunn, Amber Valletta, Xiao Wen and Alek Wek.”

The Saudi royals’ eagerness to present themselves as the so-called modern Muslim government is going to undermine their usefulness to their Western masters.

By becoming openly secular, utilizing the Saudi regime to influence intellectual and political trends among Muslims will become more difficult for Riyadh and its patrons.

For decades using its Salafi networks and its occupation of Makkah and Madinah, the Saudis and their NATO patrons were able to direct political and intellectual trends among Muslims using Islam as a mask.

The latest blunder removes the already slipping mask.

While the Saudi royals assume that through raunchy photoshoots they will win over Western regimes and may be their publics, they might soon find out that the ISIS ideology they assisted in spreading, will come back to bite their behind and just like with Hosni Mubarak, uncle Sam will not be there to help.

Joe Biden and Venezuela

Joe Biden, described by a prominent British-Muslim journalist, Ahmed Kaballo, as “the only politician in the US that makes Donald Trump look articulate” does not differ from Trump when it concerns Venezuela.

The Grayzone, (a news website managed by award-winning American journalist Max Blumenthal), reported that “Juan González, former deputy assistant secretary of state under Obama and current advisor to Biden on Latin America, would give the government of President Nicolás Maduro one option: elections observed by a respected (and unnamed) multilateral institution and he must leave office. Biden’s surrogates warn that Venezuela is a national security issue for the U.S., that the country has been infiltrated by terrorist groups and everything must be done to end Russian, Chinese, and Cuban influence. They responded to a question about the impact of sanctions by blaming the ‘humanitarian crisis’ on Chavismo. They say Biden will not negotiate with Maduro.”

For decades successive US regimes have supported fascist, murderous regimes in South America in order to plunder the region’s resources. If he becomes president, will Biden act any differently? Perish the thought.

Corporate Media Continues to Misrepresent Sweden’s COVID-19 Approach

Business Insider reported that “deaths in Sweden have fallen dramatically in recent days and are now approaching zero. Between June 30 and July 6, Sweden recorded fewer than five deaths per day on all days but one. The decline in newly diagnosed cases has been even more dramatic. In late June, Sweden diagnosed more than 1,800 people per day as COVID-19 positive. Today, just two weeks later, only one-sixth of that number are testing positive on a daily basis.”

While the above information may seem like rare praise in the corporate media for Sweden’s approach, Business Insider made sure to focus on the narrative that “ experts are warning that their recent spell of good news does not mean the country's no-lockdown plan was successful, or that other countries should follow its path.”

Since the COVID-19 crisis erupted, Sweden has taken a different approach than most other countries and has been subjected to unrelenting condemnation for thinking and acting outside of the box.

On numerous occasions foreign governments and media organizations have misrepresented Sweden’s polices and statistics.

A non-dogmatic examination of Sweden’s approach would facilitate a more useful examination of COVID-19 crisis.

However, any admission by western politicians and the corporate media that Sweden’s approach has some merit, mainly because of their superb free public healthcare system, will make others look stupid, thus, an honest debate on their approach has been thrown out the window.

UK government apologizes to the Saudi regime

While most informed observers know that NATO regimes are all about talk on rights and freedoms but very little action, the latest move by the British regime towards Saudis is just another confirmation of this hypocrisy.

On July 10, the Independent reported that “the UK government privately showered Saudi Arabia’s government with praise a day after publicly criticizing its human rights abuses and targeting it for sanctions, The Independent has learned. The government was accused of ‘calling to apologise’ to the regime after some Saudi individuals were included on the foreign secretary’s new ‘Magnitsky Act’ sanctions list on Monday. Defense minister Ben Wallace is understood to have discreetly telephoned his Saudi counterpart on Wednesday to reiterate the UK’s support for the regime and its work.”

It appears that NATO regimes still assume that they can benefit from Saudi money after the COVID-19 crisis in order to jump start their economies. The news is though, the Saudis themselves are going broke.

Just a few days ago Britain’s international trade secretary announced the lifting of a ban on British arms exports to the Saudi regime embroiled in war crimes in Yemen and Syria. It seems London badly needs some money.
