People in Occupied Kashmir and their supporters around the world observed the first anniversary of Burhan Wani’s martyrdom on July 8. Indian occupation troops fearing protests imposed round the clock curfew in all major cities as well as blocked all Internet services.
The problems of Kashmir and Palestine both date back to 1947. While Palestine is well known globally, Kashmir is virtually an unknown entity. Ken Stone of the Canadian Peace Alliance thinks it ought to be brought into mainstream.
A meeting in Toronto on November 5, 2016, commemorated the July 8 tragic killing of young resistance leader, Burhan Wani. He was 22 when shot and killed by Indian occupation forces in a remote village. Two of his colleagues were also killed in the late night raid.
