If falling poll numbers and mishandling of the pandemic were his only concerns, Donald Trump would not be such a worried man.
Narcissist and a liar, he is also a self-confessed murderer.
This became evident in the immediate aftermath of the assassination of Iran’s top Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) commander, General Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions at Baghdad International airport in the early hours of January 3, 2020.
Following months of painstaking investigations to ensure all the evidence is collected, a senior Iranian judge announced today (June 29) that Interpol Red Notices have been issued for the prosecution of dozens of military and political officials of the United States.
Trump heads the list of criminals charged with planning and implementing the January 3 terrorist attack at Baghdad airport.
“Thirty-six people who were involved in the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani were identified, including political and military officials from the United States and other governments,” Tehran Prosecutor Ali Alqasi-Mehr said today.
In addition to the arrest warrant against Trump and other US officials, Iran’s Judiciary has requested a “Red Notice” be put out for them by Interpol.
These individuals would face charges of “murder and act of terror”, said the Iranian Judiciary official.
He went on: “At the top of the list is US President Donald Trump, and his prosecution will be pursued even after the end of his term [as US president].”
The January 3 terrorist strike was carried out under Trump’s direction, with the Pentagon gloating over it by taking responsibility for the attack.
Trump’s approval of the strike on the soil of a foreign country was illegal under international law. It was also against the sovereignty of a country with which the US is not at war.
Further, killing the top commander of another country, as well as a top commander of the host country, constitute war crimes.
Contrary to the vile US and Zionist propaganda, General Soleimani is viewed by freedom-seeking people worldwide as the chief architect of the fight against Daesh, the notorious terrorist outfit, and defeating it.
The US claimed its forces were in the region to fight against the terrorists but in reality, both the US and its Zionist ally were the principal supporters of the terrorists that are in their dying days.
Far from killing General Solaimani, if the US and Zionist Israel were serious about fighting Daesh, they should have applauded the legendary general for his role against the terrorists.
NBC News had revealed details of the assassination soon after it was carried out, saying the terrorist operation used Israeli intelligence and it was run from the US Central Command (CENTCOM) headquarters in Qatar.
American drones flown from al-Udaid airbase in Qatar were used in the terrorist strike.
It prompted the Qatari Amir to rush to Tehran soon thereafter to assure Iran his regime was not involved in the plot to assassinate the top Iranian commander.
The head of Iran’s Judiciary, Ebrahim Raeisi said in February that officials from his ministry were in contact with the Iraqi authorities to pursue the case of the general’s assassination.
Trump and his Zionist allies will find out, sooner rather than later that Iran means what it says.
The days of killing other countries’ rulers and commanders are over.
There will be price to pay. Trump has been put on notice.
