Is Egyptian dictator turning away from the West and towards Eurasia? One reader thinks so.
Perhaps there could be more detailed discussion on the recent goings-on in Egypt. I know Crescent International does not hold Abd al-Fatah el-Sisi, the dictator-general of Egypt in very high esteem, and that is understandable. However, since el-Sisi came to power, takfiri militants have had Egypt in their crosshairs. Keep in mind that the Arab Spring has given these takfiris a platform to speak from, and has allowed them to crawl out of the woodwork of the repressive Mubarak regime.
I suspect Egypt’s pivot toward Eurasia, as opposed to the Atlantic, has a lot to do with this.
