Muslims in North America, and those in the southern hemisphere celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Monday July 28. In the rest of the Muslim world, except Saudi Arabia and its satellites, Eid would be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday July 29.

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, we convey our greetings to all our readers globally. We do so with a heavy heart as we witness the suffering of our brothers and sisters in different parts of the world, especially in Gaza where the Palestinians are targeted with bombs, missiles and artillery shells. The zionist war criminals and their enablers in the west continue to inflict collective punishment on the defenceless Palestinians in Gaza.
Hospitals, mosques, centres for the disabled as well as people's homes are being bombed and destroyed. The zionist regime hypocritically claims that it gives prior warning to people to leave their homes before they are bombed.
This is a criminal attempt to obfuscate the truth. First, the warning comes in the form of a rocket fired at the roof of the house that in most cases destroys the roof and the house. Second, the people have nowhere to flee to even if they had the time to do so since the zionist war criminals bomb the place within one minute of the warning. Third, under the Fourth Geneva Convention, it is illegal to attack homes, hospitals, schools and centres for the disabled.
Under such circumstances, what kind of Eid celebrations can Muslims have? Our hearts bleed for our Palestinian brothers and sisters as we pray for their deliverance from these tormentors, the enemies of Allah and of humanity.
