Muslim Trade

Shabbir Ahmed Qureshi

It was heartening to read that at least some Muslim countries are working to promote trade between each other (“The Other Silk Road,” Crescent, June 2019). While it is true that most Muslim countries are grossly incompetent and only hinder trade and friendly relations between each other, the ones that are keen on developing trade should press ahead. When others see the positive outcome of such efforts, they will automatically want to join. More power to those who want unity and trade among Muslims.
