It is depressing to note the media’s manipulation of Muslims. Our sympathy is aroused for Syrian refugees but there is hardly any mention of the suffering of the people of Yemen. Are they not human beings? Who determines which group of people deserve our help and who does not? According to the UN, 22 million of Yemen’s 24 million people are food deficient; the overwhelming majority also do not have access to clean drinking water. Their plight is the direct result of Saudi attacks and aggression. Muslims should be highlighting Saudi crimes and hold them accountable. Selective morality and concern are not acceptable.
