Instead of information, media outlets indulge in massive lies to mislead people.
Journalism used to be an honorable profession. No more. Part of the reason may be found in television journalism where entertainment has taken over news coverage. This is referred to as infotainment. The problem is further complicated by the fact that most media outlets have been bought out by major corporations. In the past, corporations exercised influence through advertising; now they control the message. Not surprisingly, most people have such low opinion of the media!
