It must be nice to be the daughter of an American president. Accompanying her father Donald Trump, Ivanka won pledges of $100 million from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This will go toward the $1 billion total for the World Bank fund for women entrepreneurs that she created.
World Bank President Jim Young Kim was elated. “We had no idea how quickly this would build. This is really a stunning achievement. I’ve never seen anything come together so quickly, and I really have to say that Ivanka’s leadership has been tremendous.” He should have added that Saudi and Emirati rulers, as slaves of America, could never say “no” to a US president or his family.
During the election campaign, Trump had condemned Hillary Clinton for receiving $25 million from Saudi Arabia for the Clinton Foundation. “Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays. Hillary must return all money from such countries.” Will Trump now ask Ivanka to return the $100 million to the same rulers that oppress women?
