In the escalating violence unleashed by the zionist regime against the Palestinians, the illegal squatters (aka settlers) have taken this to new levels of brutality.
On February 26, more than 300 illegal squatters stormed the Palestinian village of Huwara in the illegally-occupied West Bank and howling like animals, attacked Palestinian homes and properties.
The zionist terrorists destroyed Palestinian homes, setting them on fire.
They also torched several hundred Palestinian vehicles causing millions of dollars’ worth of damage.
The marauding zionist thugs were given a free hand by the Israeli army of occupation.
Israeli soldiers merely watched as the squatters attacked Palestinians.
More than 390 Palestinians were injured in the villages of Huwara, Zatara, and Burin.
Some of them were shot, others were stabbed as well as hit with metal rods.
One Palestinian, 37-years-old, was shot and killed.
The heavily-armed Israeli soldiers only acted when ambulances and medics arrived to treat the wounded.
The soldiers immediately went into action preventing the medics from treating the wounded and the ambulances from taking them to hospital in a timely manner.
Is any further proof needed of the complicity of the zionist regime in allowing such violence against the Palestinian people?
And what about the so-called international community that goes berserk if a Palestinian child throws a stone at an Israeli tank?
Do the presidents of the United States and France, and the prime ministers of Canada and Britain not know what the zionist terrorists are doing to the Palestinian people?
Are Palestinian lives worthless?
The rampage in Huwara occurred the same day that the US, Egypt and Jordan arranged talks between the Israelis and the Palestinian Authority (PA) to help reduce violence.
Following the talks in Aqaba (Jordan), it was announced that Israel would freeze new settlements for six months and both sides (Israel and Palestinians) will work to reduce violence in the aftermath of the bloodbath perpetrated by the zionist army in Nablus.
As far as the illegal settlements are concerned, Israel’s indicted criminal prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted soon afterwards that there would be no freeze to settlement construction.
So much for the outcome of the talks.
Israel’s Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich, meanwhile said, “I think the village of Huwara needs to be wiped out. I think the state of Israel should do it.”
Smotrich handles civil administration in the occupied West Bank.
True, the call for the Palestinian town “to be erased” was harshly condemned by US State Department spokesperson Ned Price on March 1, who described the comments as “repugnant” and “irresponsible” but he also condemned Palestinian ‘violence’.
Is there a moral equivalence between the struggle of those under occupation and the occupiers?
People under occupation have the right to resist their occupiers by “any means necessary”.
This is enshrined in international law, for what it is worth.
But did Price’s condemnation of Bezalel’s repugnant comments carry any price in terms of suspending the billions of dollars in US largesse going to the parasitical state of Israel?
Perish the thought.
Biden is a self-confessed zionist. He is not going to take any action against Israel.
This is highly unlikely since the UN is controlled by the US and its allies.
The call by the Arab parliament is welcome but it merely reflects the impotence of the Arabian regimes.
A far more effective step would be for the Arabian regimes to cut off diplomatic ties with the zionist regime and have no dealings with it whatsoever.
After all, there is no difference between illegal squatters and the regime.
Further, the Arab regimes should provide weapons to the Palestinians to defend themselves against the marauding zionist thugs.
Until then, the Palestinians will unfortunately continue to suffer at the hands of the zionist neo-Nazis that have illegally occupied Palestine.
The liberation of al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the Holy Land (Palestine) is not just the responsibility of the Palestinians but of all Muslims, particularly countries that border Palestine.
They must step forward and join the struggle for liberation.
