Israeli-firsters’ hysterical lies

Zafar Bangash

The Zionists are compulsive liars. From the myth that God “promised” them the Holy Land to the claim that Palestine was a “land without a people” given to “a people without a land”, they have peddled these lies endlessly. Anyone that dares oppose their inhuman and barbaric practices is immediately subjected to vicious distortions and lies. Take the case of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. The Zionists have alleged since 1996 that Tehran would acquire a bomb within five years. Shimon Peres, principal figure in the Israeli nuclear program and currently president of the Zionist State, made this fantastic allegation in 1996. He and others of his ilk have repeated this lie every year. Based on these lies, Iran should have had the bomb in 2001 but the Zionists keep lying about Iran’s non-existent bomb even in 2012. And now they are threatening to attack Iran, almost entirely on the backs of American GIs, pulled mostly from the disadvangtaged lower classes, who would ulimately carry out the criminal enterprise that the Zionists are too cowardly to prosecute on their own.

The Zionists and their Western allies, however, specialize in targeting individuals. Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad has been accused of threatening to “wipe Israel off the map.” Not only Zionists but also many otherwise respectable journalists, whether lazy or cowards, as well as politicians repeat this lie. It would be helpful to state precisely what President Ahmedinejad said that has so roiled the Zionists? At a conference in Tehran in October 2005, President Ahmedinejad said the following in his Farsi speech: “Imam goft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad.” Anyone with even an elementary knowledge of Persian would immediately note that there is no mention of Israel. The actual translation is: “The Imam said that the Quds-occupying regime will disappear from the page of time.” President Ahmedinejad had prefaced his remarks by saying that just as the apartheid regime in South Africa and the Soviet Union had disappeared, the Imam (Khomeini) said the Quds-occupying regime would also disappear. The Zionists, however, continue to peddle the lie about “wiping Israel off the map.” The only country that has been wiped off the map is Palestine, something the Zionists want to hide from the world.

The Zionists do not lie only about major political figures on the world stage. This writer has been subjected to a vicious campaign that reflects the depth of their depravity. Two examples will suffice. Every Ramadan, Muslims organize the Quds Day rally worldwide in response to the late Imam Khomeini’s call to remind the world of the continued occupation of al-Quds (Jerusalem) by the Zionists and their enablers in Riyadh and Washingtion. Toronto has had the honor of organizing such rallies every year. Last August at the Quds Day rally, this writer spoke about Zionist crimes in Palestine and pointed out that while there were more than 45 million people living in poverty in the US, Barack Obama chose to ignore poor Americans while continuing to pour billions into the parasitical state of Israel. The exact words were: “This black man in the White House would rather see Americans starve to death but he cannot say no to the parasitical Zionist State.” This writer also said: “The Israelis murdered nine Turkish humanitarian aid workers on the Mavi Marmara on the high seas. What was their crime? They were not carrying bombs, guns or missiles; they were carrying food, medicines and baby milk formula to the besieged people of Gaza but even this was not acceptable to the Zionists. This is what makes them inhuman, this is what makes them barbarians.” (video link: http://www.you tube.com/watch?v=0-xBe_jxNFw)

Pro-Zionist TV stations, newspapers and websites went hysterical. How dare anyone call Israel parasitical and the Israelis “inhuman” and “barbarians”? Should a state and its rulers that starve women and children to death be praised for their humanity? Zionist hysteria reached its peak following a talk this writer delivered at McMaster University in Hamilton on January 26. The title of the lecture was: Iran in the Crosshairs. Students at McMaster University, the Hamilton Coalition to Stop the War, Mohawk College students and Independent Jewish Voices sponsored the event. It received additional publicity when the Simon Weisenthal Centre tried to block the event through a letter-writing campaign in the local newspaper, the Hamilton Spectator, as well as the exertion of pressure on the University to cancel the program. So much for the Zionists’ claim to uphold freedom of speech! Students at McMaster held their ground and convinced the University administration that freedom of speech meant hearing diverse opinions.

On the evening of the event, the lecture hall was packed; more than 50 people were standing. This writer spoke for nearly one hour outlining the reality of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and then painted the following possible scenario if Iran’s nuclear installations were attacked (video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ1704r2cDw &feature=related; also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhc4PTtDadk &feature=related). Saudi and Kuwaiti oil fields might come under attack; US forces in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and the surrounding countries would be hit. Israel, which would naturally be involved in attacking Iran, might be subjected to Tehran’s retaliatory missile strikes and that the Jewish community in Iran, which has lived in harmony with the majority Muslim population, might also be targeted by some emotional individuals even though we would completely oppose such attacks. The next day, Zionist media reports went hysterical. Headlines blared: Canadian Muslim leader threatens Jews if Iran attacked. One racist Zionist website went so far as to accuse this writer of saying: “If Iran attacked we will kill the Jews…”

How low can these people get? Attending the program were many Jewish people; some were sympathetic to the speaker, others were hardcore Zionists. Yet no such complaint was raised during the lecture or during the nearly one-hour question-and-answer session that followed. What this episode and the one cited earlier demonstrate is the Zionist fear that people, unthinkingly attached to Israel because of cultural and religious affinities, are beginning to see through their propaganda of lies and distortions. This is what really scares them. To round out the picture, on February 9, the Beth Jacob Synagogue in Hamilton hosted the Israeli journalist, Hirsh Goodman, who called for an attack on Iran. Imagine if such a call were made from a masjid in Canada, all hell would break loose. Every politician would be demanding that the masjid be shut down and its charitable status revoked. When Zionists advocate and execute war crimes against Muslims, that raises no establishment eyebrows.
