In a statement released today, the Islamic resistance movement Hamas announced that it had accepted the ceasefire agreement.
The brief statement from Hamas said:
“The mujahid brother Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas movement’s political bureau, had a phone call with the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, and with the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence, Abbas Kamel, and informed them of the Hamas movement’s approval of their proposal regarding the ceasefire agreement.”
Further details are awaited and also whether the zionist terrorists would pay any heed to what they themselves had proposed.
They have launched several attacks on Rafah, the southern-most city of Gaza.
In multiple strikes on May 5, at least 26 people were killed when Israeli planes bombed several houses.
The zionist warmongers also ordered about 100,000 Palestinians in east Rafah to vacate their camps and move west.
In their customary brutality, the zionists have attacked the very areas they have ordered people to move to.
Will the zionists launch their threatened invasion of Rafah?
Many countries including the European Union have urged Israel not to attack Rafah.
