Iranian officials announced on June 1 that they were suspending indirect talks with the US because of Israel’s ongoing aggression in Lebanon and American attacks on Iran.
It sent Donald Trump scurrying for cover and into a humiliating retreat.
Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US of breaching its ceasefire with Iran.
The continuing blockade of Iranian ports and failing to restrain its attack dog zionist Israel from escalating attacks in Lebanon were part of the violations.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the ceasefire included Lebanon and any attack on it was a clear violation of the ceasefire.
Tehran retaliated by targeting US military bases in Kuwait from where the missiles were launched at Iran’s Sirik Island in the south of the country.
The US Centcom had the gall to call its missile attacks “defensive strikes”.
Iran’s revolutionary guards corps (IRGC) announced that because of US aggression, the Strait of Hormuz was closed to all shipping with effect immediately.
It also demanded a complete halt to Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.
The zionists had threatened to bomb Beirut, the Lebanese capital as well.
The IRGC said it would take additional steps to close the Bab al-Mabdab in cooperation with its allies in Yemen.
This sent oil prices soaring once again and Trump took to social media to say he had had “productive conversation” with the indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and told him to “not invade Beirut”.
There was no planned invasion of Beirut.
The zionists had threatened to bomb it.
Iran said any bombing of Beirut would result in Tehran launching missile strikes at northern occupied Palestine.
Trump also alleged that he had had a “very good discussion” with represenatives of Hizbullah.
Lebanese parliament member Hassan Fadhlallah, a member of Hizbullah, denied the group’s contact or conversation with any American official.
The zionist army has invaded southern Lebanon where the city of Tyre has been completely destroyed.
Tens of thousands of Lebanese civilians have been forced to evacuate their homes.
Nabatiyeh is also under attack and Israeli occupation forces have taken over the historic Beaufort Castle.
This, however, is a trap for them.
The occupation forces are easy targets for Hizbullah’s fpv drones that cannot be detected by radar.
Hizbullah’s fpv drones have caused alarm among the occupation forces, as admitted even by zionist media outlets.
They are fleeing as the drones strike their formations and equipment.
Meanwhile Trump’s claim that the indirect talks with Iran were back on track and he had had good discussions with Iranian officials was completely false.
When the US attacked a ship trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran retaliated by hitting a ship linked to a hostile power.
When the US attacked Iran’s Qeshm Island, Tehran fired missiles at US bases in Bahrain and Iraq, in addition to Kuwait.
Iran’s retaliatory strikes are meant to send a clear message that no US or zionist aggression will go unanswered.
The escalatory strikes have led to airlines in Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain suspending all flights.
Trump is left with no choice but to get his forces out of West Asia and accept the terms offered by Iran.
Continued delays would mean that even these terms may not be available for too long.
