Outgoing Afghan President Hamid Karzai took a swipe at the US and Pakistani accusing both of not wanting peace in Afghanistan. Installed by the US following the ouster of Taliban from power, Karzai presided over massive corruption in the country. He had also spend nearly a decade in refugee camps in Pakistan. Ashraf Ghani will be sworn in as president on September 29.
Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan refuses to join the US-led air strikes against the takfiri terrorists. At the same time, he has called for a no-fly zone over Syria. This strengthens speculation that the US policy is a backdoor attempt to sneak into Syria to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Asad. Hizbullah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said his group would not join the US-led coalition to fight the takfiris because America itself was the biggest source of terrorism. He also accused Washington of aiding, arming and training the terrorists.
