The zionists, itching to kill more Palestinian civilians, especially children have resumed attacks on the tiny enclave of Gaza. They stubbornly refuse to life the illegal siege where people are being slowly strangled to death. The Palestinians demand an end to the siege. Egyptian-brokered negotiations collapsed over the zionists' refusal to lift the siege ending the 72-hour cease-fire.

The Zionist killing machine resumed air and artillery strikes on the tiny Gaza enclave as soon as the 72-hour ceasefire expired at 8 am local time today.
There were air strikes in the north and east of Gaza as well as in Gaza City. A number of casualties have been reported including the death of 10-year-old Ibrahim al-Adwaseh.
Israeli attacks are continuing as this report is being compiled. The Palestinians retaliated with rocket fire at the Zionist entity and two people were reported injured including an Israeli soldier.
Hamas and other Palestinian factions had made clear that unless there was clear agreement on lifting the stifling siege that has made life unbearable in Gaza (population 1.7 million), they would not agree to extend the Egyptian-brokered cease-fire.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhum was quoted by the French news agency, AFP as saying: “All the Palestinian factions, including Hamas, have agreed not to renew the ceasefire because [Israel] is refusing to accommodate our demands.”
In the indirect talks brokered by Egypt, Hamas had offered a 10-year cease-fire provided the Zionist regime lifted the siege of Gaza Strip. Showing ass-like stubbornness and total disregard for human life, the Zionist rulers refuse to give a clear commitment.
In any case, they are compulsive liars. The zionists had agreed under the November 2012 cease-fire agreement to lift the siege. They have refused to do so. In April, they balked at releasing Palestinian prisoners despite pledging to do so as part of an agreement for the Palestinian Authority to resume negotiations with the zionists. Even the US Secretary of State John Kerry was appalled at the Israelis’ criminal behavior.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to use maximum force against the Palestinians in Gaza. The Zionist occupation army needs no prompting on this score.
In the month-long assault that surpassed previous Israeli barbaric practices, 1876 Palestinians, more than 73 percent of them civilians according to UN figures, were murdered.
Israeli snipers took pleasure in shooting and killing Palestinian children. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 433 children have been killed, this number now increased by one since the murder of 10-year-old Ibrahim al-Adwaseh earlier today.
According to the health ministry figures, at least 12, 576 people have been injured, some in critical condition because of lack of medication or proper care.
The Zionist occupation army bombed schools, hospitals, people’s homes, centers for the disabled as well as Gaza’s only power plant plunging the entire enclave into darkness. Hospitals are unable to function because of lack of electricity and medication.
During the 72-hour ceasefire when Palestinian families returned to their homes, they not only found them badly damaged and vandalized but the zionists also defecated on kitchen counters and tables as well as left racist graffiti.
The most common graffiti was: Good Arab=Dead Arab.
Zionist racism knows no bounds.
More than a quarter of Gaza's population of 1.7 million has been displaced by the Zionist war of aggression. About half sought refuge in UN shelters, and many of the rest stayed with relatives. About 65,000 are believed now to be homeless.
Most people in Gaza blamed Israel for the renewed hostilities and said they supported the demands made by the Palestinian delegation in Egyptian-brokered negotiations in Cairo.
The Palestinians’ principle demand is the lifting of the eight-year siege of Gaza by Israel and Egypt.
“The people's demands are humanitarian. Even if the resistance agreed to drop the demands, the people would not agree. We are at the point where life or death is the same thing for us,” said Mohamed Eid, 40, who has been living in the grounds of the main hospital in Gaza since his house was destroyed in fierce fighting in the east of the city 15 days ago.
