Zionist apartheid State and the UN

Editor

That Zionism is racism and based on the system of apartheid against the Palestinian people is now widely recognized but the UN dare not say so or else…

The new UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres gutted an academic report decrying Israel as an apartheid state that was uploaded on the body’s website. It was taken down within two days. What was so objectionable about the report prepared by two academics—Richard Falk and Virginia Tilley—known for their human rights activism?

Their ‘sin’ was to describe Zionist Israel’s policies on the Occupied West Bank as ‘apartheid’. Rima Khalef, head of the UN’s Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA), commissioned the report. Guterres, who touted his socialist credentials when he wooed the people of Portugal to elect him as prime minister in 1995, succumbed to US and Zionist pressure.

The two academics are not the first to use the term apartheid for Israeli policies. It was the Israeli academic Uri Davis who first coined the term. The former US President Jimmy Carter also used it in comparing Israeli practices towards the Palestinians with those of the Apartheid State of South Africa’s treatment of blacks.

Zionist Israel discriminates against Palestinians in many different ways. In the words of Nobel Laureate and anti-apartheid struggler, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Israel’s treatment of Palestinians is much worse in many respects than that experienced by Blacks under apartheid South Africa. Bishop Tutu would know.

Guterres’ gutless surrender to Zionist-US blackmail has lowered the UN’s already low stock in the eyes of the world. Who does the UN represent anyway?
