With much fanfare, the US announced that there will be a “four-hour humanitarian pause” in Israeli bombing of Gaza each day.
This is meant, ostensibly, to deliver desperately-needed food, water and medicines to the besieged people of Gaza.
This will be delivered to those that have survived Israel’s relentless bombardment of their homes, hospitals and schools so far.
Presumably, the people of Gaza can have one last meal before they are blown to pieces by Israel’s US-supplied bombs dropped from US-supplied war planes.
At least 50 people were killed after Israeli missiles and artillery hit the Al Buraq school today where internally-displaced Palestinians were sheltering.
Israeli missiles also landed in the courtyard of Gaza’s biggest hospital, damaged the Indonesian Hospital and set fire to the Nasser Rantissi pediatric cancer hospital.
These are deliberate acts of terrorism and constitute war crimes.
Whether the zionist war criminals will adhere to even this limited pause is doubtful.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the genocidal war criminal who heads the Israeli regime, said immediately after the US announcement that there will be no ceasefire.
We can be certain that regardless of what the Americans say, Netanyahu and the bunch of war criminals around him do not care for human life, especially Palestinian.
They have not only repeatedly uttered extremely racist statements against the Palestinians calling them “human animals”, as did Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant but also made clear they want to empty Gaza of its inhabitants.
Imagine if someone had uttered such racist statments about the Israelis.
Heritage minister Amichai Eliyahu went even further, saying “nuke Gaza”!
Netanyahu suspended him from cabinet meetings, a meaningless gesture since Eliyahu is not part of the inner cabinet.
Further, cabinet meetings are not held face-to-face in Israel these days.
Eliyahu’s real crime was that he admitted to Israel having nuclear weapons.
While the entire world knows Israel possesses hundreds of nuclear weapons, Tel Aviv has maintained deliberate ambiguity about it.
Israeli crimes have led United Nations officials and leading human rights organizations to publicly accuse its forces of committing grave war crimes in the Gaza.
Three Palestinian human rights organizations—Al-Haq, Al-Mezan and the Palestinian Human Rights Council—have filed a formal case with the International Criminal Court for genocide against Israeli political and military leaders.
The tiny strip is besieged from all sides by Israel.
Its only opening at the Rafah Crossing to Egypt is also tightly controlled since Egypt is a virtual colony of the US and Israel.
Israeli crimes include collective punishment, forcible transfer, and genocide.
Raz Segal, Associate Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Stockton University in New Jersey, asserts Israel’s assault on Gaza is a textbook case of genocide unfolding in front of our eyes.
He views the enablers of Israel’s genocide as partners-in-crime.
Leading the pack of Israel’s enables is first and foremost the US that finances and arms the zionist regime.
America also provides political and diplomatic cover to Israel and has repeatedly used its veto power to block censure of the zionist entity at the United Nations Security Council.
Other regimes include Britain, France, Germany and a host of others in Europe as well as Canada.
These rulers are complicit in Israel war crimes and also liable.
They will be held accountable for their support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
